Recently I was accepted to WVSOM!

I have a question for all you med students/residents.
I currently live in Florida and plan on living here after medical school. If I attend WVSOM how difficult is it to come back into Florida for residency/practice.

Im afraid attending WVSOM will inevitably form ties for my career making it harder to match and practice in Florida.

Am I wrong?

Let me put it this way.
If you score well on boards (for your particular specialty at least), you'll be able to choose where you go (to a degree).
If you score poorly, they you'll have to go wherever it takes you.

Yes. The thing that will impair you from practicing in Florida is the fact that Florida is terrible (although not as bad as California) and time away from there will open your eyes to this fact and you won't ever want to live there again.
