said she was not alpha because it was not a tie. I never said that the night was the result of whether it was alpha.

For my sanity, I should really get away from the forum, but I'm really upset by the way this game is going at the moment and I just wish people would listen to me.

@Animal Midwife you basically insinuated that I had contributed NOTHING to the game. That I piggy reculé de Wondering. Do you know what I did? Protect her! I made sure people didn't look at her on the forum as a threat. I prevented people from pushing her so that we could keep her as long as we did! So honestly, the fact that you thought I didn't contribute to this game is so insulting when I gave it so much time. Just because I like mechanics doesn't mean je ne chasse pas suffisamment le loup

Wow, I wonder why Ive never received such a kindly worded, almost apologetic reply. 🤔 :heckyeah:

I really don't want to continue this match but I am really invested at this stage and I think that the village can still win. I think the time has come.

Well guys,

If I go down youre going to have to decide between AM, Moose and Mayo tomorrow, but now theres one cycle to get it right. So if you choose wrong then the game is over. If moose flips wolf shes the convert and AM is running the show. If its mayo that flips wolf, then you have to figure out if its even possible that Moose was an OG versus lynching AM. I dont envy that task, but thats what my death bed suggestion would be.

J'irai après AM si tu es village.

If you already unlynched mayo, my bad @Miranda Senft

To be fair, we're giving you the lynch you've been going after for days

You've been going after cubs for days and voted him today. It's not inaccurate to say that this is the vote you've been going after for days. I really hope you are right.

LMAO you HOPE?? Walking it back much cause you know the answer?

DAY TEN

Our first day in Newfoundland was spent mostly on the West side of the island, starting with the ferry dock point in Port aux Basques. From there, the plan was to drive north and stop in Gros Morne National Park and L'Anse aux Meadows. Then the bus would start to go east, spending the night in Gander. Worth mentioning are some of the other colourful town names of places we passed but didn't stop in. This includes gems like Black Duck Rock, Port au Port, Goose Arm, Cow Head, River of Ponds, Great Harbour Deep, Fortune, and Seldom. Pick your favourite as word of the day and send it to the mods. Any town in Western Newfoundland counts! Most of Newfoundland is working towns, but there are definitely a few tourist stops that I can detail out for you.

The first major stop was in Gros Morne National Park, specifically in the towns of Norris Point and Rocky Harbour. Gros Morne is almost otherworldy beautiful, when it's not covered in literal feet of snow. It is geologically hugely important as it is a living example of the phenomena of platetectonics and some of the oldest rock in North America can be found at the surface here. It also has the tallest waterfall in Eastern North America, and a massive fjord. You may not think a fjord is all that impressive, except for the fact it is a fresh water fjord and thus fairly unique. This is a park that is truly designed to be explored on foot, with many of the best and most photographable sites hidden by multi day hikes as the terrain is just too unforgiving to have maintained trails. Well worth the time is the boat tour up Western Brook Pond!

Our next stop (a bit of a misnomer since the two places are hours apart) was the historic site of L'Anse aux Meadows. Along the way, we will have followed the coast road which has many small, scenic stops to take in the rugged beauty of Newfoundland. L'Anse aux Meadows is the site of the first Viking settlement in North America - and the only authenticated one! The major areas were excavated and then reconstructed using Viking techniques - like making sod roof houses. The Norse settled in the area around the year 1000, though it is unclear how long they stayed or where they went after. The current theory is that this site was used as a base for exploration, not as any form of permanent colonization.

Along the way to Gander, a stop was included to take in Fogo, Twillingate, and Moreton's Harbour. Those familiar with the song I'se the By' might recognize this. Fogo island is a forbidding, beautiful place. It is perhaps best known now for housing the Fogo Island Inn, a luxury boutique hotel that has housed many celebrities looking to get away from it all. Twillingate is one of the best places to whale watch and/or iceberg watch when they float down from Greenland, depending on time of year. Moreton's Harbour is a working town with only 100 inhabitants, but they greatly enjoy the fame brought to them by the song.

Finally, the bus rolled into Gander. Some of you may be familiar with this town due to the events of 9/11. When the twin towers fell, the US closed most of it's airspace suddenly. For many transatlantic flights, this meant they had nowhere to go and were running low on fuel. Gander stepped up to help. Gander is an incredibly tiny airport. Like, two runways tiny. Usually it's only small commuter planes landing here, though the runways are full size to accomodate airforce planes if needed. Due to this, 38 jetliners landed in Gander that day as part of Operation Yellow Ribbon. In one day, the population of Gander increased by 6600 people, in a town of only 10 000. There were only a fraction of the hotel and emergency shelter beds required, so the people of Gander and surrounding communities stepped up and welcomed these strangers into their homes for 6 days. Clothes, food, and shelter were all provided with typical Newfoundland hospitality - and it was so successful that it became the basis for the musical "Come From Away".

The hospitality the bus guests received in Gander was so top notch, that one bus guest elected to stay behind.

Dead is @cubsrule4e , who was Red Green's Handyman Corner, a villager who could make items each night.

Je ne comprends vraiment pas cet homme.

Contingency Lynch MOOSE

What do you not understand?

Turning over the wolf would bring the most closure to what has happened in recent days. So the false wolf boast just leaves me hollow.
Eh, I love fake wolf brags! Especially when I've worked hard for the village and gotten lynched for my efforts. I thinks cubs deserved whatever entertainment he got from it 😉

Because she was going after cubs for days. I didn't know there was a role like godfather, so I kept thinking she was 3P over village but now that I know it exists, plus with the results from tonight, I've decided this for now.

But, I'm going to think on it more tonight because I still definitely think moose would be the perfect convert. So my decision isn't final, but it is what I'm going with for now.

Night 10

FullSizeRender1.jpg

SAR somehow managed to finagle a sleeping berth at the Fogo Island Inn for everyone! No big deal, it's only thousands of dollars a night to stay there. Perhaps she was hoping that by obviously bribing the remaining guests, that they would stay until the end of the trip? No one could be sure, but you could see the disappointment in her eyes that so few of her American friends had stayed for her home province. Even the three other Canadians had thrown in the towel! Even with that amount of hope in her heart, she still couldn't prevent the nightly mingling that occurred, the nighttime visits. And once again, in the morning, one passenger didn't show up for role call. It was unknown if he had wandered off the rocks at night, or if one of his fellow guests had "assisted" the poor Frenchman. But either way, he was gone. As everyone (all 5) filed onto the bus, SAR tried to greet them with as cheery a smile as she could. After all, there was a possibility of this being the very last day of their tour. She intended to make it a memorable one! And this time the weather cooperated, a warm summer sun peeking over the horizon!

Mmmmm whatcha say?

Dead is @Lawper, who was A Very Upset Quebecois Shouting “TABARNAK” at English-Speaking Canada and a villager who could post restrict one player to speak in French each day.

Please enjoy some great Newfoundland music from my other favourite musical group
