Wwar of Three WWorlds- Game Thread

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
🤣

Well played. Still won't get my vote, but I laughed. Thank you.

I don't want it.

My ongoing disagreement with STL aside, I agree with him that it should be someone more active than less active (I think he overemphasizes that point, but it's still a valid point). Lately, my playstyle has gone back to "check in when I can, don't invest too heavily in the game." Ever since that game with a few billion memes posted, I just can't care as much.

I did just mayor last game, too. Granted, it was a traditional role with only tie-breaking and it never came into play, but still - someone else's turn.
But you not wanting it is exactly why I voted for you.

And why I've got a hand in converting you so often.

Speaking of all of this @Trilt - where is your logic in choosing someone from outside your planet rather than inside off the bat? I have my own thoughts on this which makes me side eye you, but let's see what you have to say
Yeah. That was weird.
Loool tbh, I think I read SOV in my group and mentally translocated LIS into his spot, then didn't double check myself when I was looking at other candidates in FFM's group. Shouldn't WW while still half asleep. Just leaving work and I'll catch up again in a bit, but I still think a three way tie with a candidate from each group would be most interesting.

I'm not fluent in politics, so yeah. If I get elected, I'll likely be seered early.

lol.

Of all the reasonable or unreasonable excuses I could picture, that one is probably honest. 🙂

In recent games I've quietly followed, the beginning is usually STL saying things and people being weirded out by it. I take it that this is a normal thing whenever he's playing?

Really dumb questions incoming..

Sometimes tact is lost. Of course it doesn't come with night protection (because it never does). I was trying to plant a seed in some noob wolves brain that it does. When my name comes up for kill 3 nights in, I'd rather them have a hesitation of "wait didn't someone say something about a night avoidance?". And you know it's rare that they check who. So yes, you are correct, I was waving my hands, and you caught me. Congratulations.

I just want to make sure I'm understanding what you said correctly -- you want a noob wolf to think you have night avoidance and thus not bother trying to kill you?

(which involves a lot of WIFOM analysis)

What's WIFOM?

Also... a seer = someone with the ability to find out someone else's role?

elect DVMD because she's on my planet and hasn't given me a ton of things to read and try to decipher 😛

Seeing as how well you can figure out the behind-the-scenes stuff, you are the gods.
Have you not noticed the swelled head I already have? And you are going to call me the gods? Maybe the goal is to explode my head to have one less person to face off with.

Excuse you, how have those "really weird" things worked out in those cases?

That was the original goal, but LIS called me out on it in the thread. Only works if that post goes unquestioned.

WIFOM = wine in front of me, it refers to the scene in princess bride, where you can endlessly go back and forth about what others were thinking. (Aha, I knew you would think that I thought you would put the wine in front of you, so I choose the wine in front of me)

See? You know too much about me already.

Hey now, I never said that what you say is really weird, I said that people get weirded out by the things you say!

Also, yes, I know the scene...just needed to know what it stood for! Thanks 🙂

Woah, wasn't expecting to come on and see an intense mayor election. I'd prefer to go with someone from my group, not sure if we can coordinate enough to go with Trilt's idea but I wouldn't be opposed. STL is sketching me out a little but taken with a grain of salt knowing his normal craziness. Don't like that you were already fibbing (about the night protection) - I believe telling only the truth is what helps the village most and unless we had a wholly noob wolf pack I dont really see how other wolves would just follow along with that idea... I like the idea of electing dubz but going with Nyanko for someone in my group and that isn't trying overly hard to get elected and already has a vote from Kam.

Elect Nyanko

Whatever. Don't want to be called out, don't post sketchy things.

I'm not going to apologize for drawing attention to something weird or sketchy. That's how wolves get caught. The fact that I spoiled some super spy plan doesn't change the fact that sketchy things <should get highlighted>.

(Besides, remember how well that tactic worked out for SOV eons ago when he tried to claim night invulnerability, so we just blocked him and killed him N1? 🙂)

Team Cthulu needs to get its ish together. If we can't unite behind STL or Nyanko, what about FB or Kara? Anyone want to join me in voting there?
No offense but I have 4 finals the next 2 days and devoted a heck of a lot of time into campaigning today. I am not going to switch off myself on principle

I don't think planet residence should be taken account into elections. Lupin said it is the planet you are residing on in the intro, which doesn't make it set in stone that everyone currently residing on the planet is from that planet, right? Which would make taking this into consideration not the best way to elect.

I dunno. I'm really bothered that STL hammered me for calling him out. I mean, seriously, is he actually trying to argue that something sketchy shouldn't be brought to attention. Just because he claims to be a villager with some sneaky plan?

He's too smart not to understand why that argument is crazy - if he's a well-intentioned villager, he should be able to see it from my perspective (i.e. not having any way inside his brain and no knowledge about his alignment). The fact that he's whined at least twice now about me spoiling his plan is sketchy in itself.

It got brought up again. Me and trilt do this all of the time during games. We see it, we acknowledge it and we roll with it. Someone asked why I did what I did and I answered again, because somehow they didn't get it the first time. You are being a bit touchy today.

Are you claiming not to be from the planet that you reside in?

I'm gonna laugh if AM or DVMD turn out to be a wolf / wolves.

How do you figure the gatekeeper being a wolf would be a bad thing? Is it because they can take and use others' abilities/items on top of their own?

Where is the flow with this logic? I am going to be at the forefront regardless with discussion, all that changes is whether or not I have role abilities at my disposal or not. I am one of those that loathes the vanillager role (although from a mechanistic standpoint, I get the importance of it in the game, I just hate when I get it). It does turn me off a little bit when I get it, and I am a bit less active.
Personally I love vanillager roles. It forces you to use your brain instead of depending on a crutch/ability. It's also why I love basics games too, which you have also claimed to love, so I find this comment really weird, along with your ultra hard push to be gate keeper. You know I don't ever trust you as far as I can spit though (and I can barely spit past my face).

I'm fine with AM or DVMD honestly. I'll stay with AM though just because she wasn't the first to elect herself.

It sounds like it will be a super powerful role, so I could see wolves wanting it. I'm assuming the gatekeeper will see the abilities being offered up in exchange for movement, so if it is a wolfy ability or if two people offer the same ability, it will be pretty easy to narrow down the canines.

No. I just see a couple people only considered people in their initial group, and not consider others for the position. The way Lupin worded it made me think there is a possibility that some are not, so I think at this point it would be better to consider the individual for gate keeper and look at the whole picture, not just limit selections to those in your group.

Basics games are different. When the majority of players don't have roles, and I don't get a role, it's more of an even playing field so to speak. There's no tricks, gimmicks or anything. It's a pure social analytical game, and I am a great read of people. It's also what I grew up on(mafbot speed games).

When there are mechanics at play, it is no longer purely a social analytical game, and I am at a deficit in my analysis as a result. Unless I have a role to counteract it. I like to be on an even playing field.

I'm still a bit confused about the movement to begin with. Has something like that been utilized in past games?

I'm not being touchy. I'm not angry. I'm just watching your posts and highlighting the fact that it's moving you from neutral to leaning wolf.

Calling me touchy just keeps moving you further. All I'm doing is pointing out things that don't really make sense to me.

Feel free to read the Immunology WW game to get an idea of how it worked. It's a cool little mechanic, but movement was much more free in that game. The restriction to movement in this game makes it (the gatekeeper role) more pivotal. It essentially becomes a live action logic puzzle if you ever did those while you were a kid.

And potentially easier for the wolves to narrow down villager PRs.
