My logic only gets better the more people get eliminated (I mean, as does anyone's?), but I feel like for me especially so. I'm quite literal in my interpretations so it's hard for me to suspect anyone when most of the players are still in the game. I'm dumb, basically.

What perspective do you have on SAR?

My perspective is exactly what I had said there-- I thought her comment to Coffee was strange and so I asked about it, and then they said something along the lines of "yeah, I was referring to previous games" and I just took that at face value (see: I'm dumb, basically), but now that it's been put forward again I'm revisiting my previous line of thinking.

Was I right in thinking that you perhaps thought the interaction between myself and SAR earlier in the game was manufactured? So like, that's why you quoted those posts for future reference?

Why though? You have more villagers to interact with the more are alive.

I didn't say anything about manufacturing.

Unofficial Day 3 Lynch Tally
mutts (2)
- Mel, Sporty
jboo (1) - SAR
SAR (1) - shelter

4/12
lynch close in ~ 11 hours

That's likely true, but I can't know for sure if the people I'm interacting with are also villagers.

What was your previous line of thinking?

That the comment about not trusting Coffee if she can't PM with her was weird, despite supposedly just referring to previous games.

I didn't say anything about manufacturing.

I know you didn't, I was theorizing as to why you quoted our posts for future reference and sharing that theory, then asking if you agreed with it. Consider it dropped, though. Not that important to me.

Who do you feel are most likely to be villagers at this point?

Why do you think this is weird?

I guess instead of waffling again, I’ll just come right out with it today... Not super inclined believe self-proclaimed villagers. Seems wolfy to me.

Do you suspect mutt for any other reasons?

Do you suspect mutt for any other reasons?

She was very eager to proclaim herself as a villager first thing D1, and was pretty defensive yesterday re: wolf accusations. Also agree with sporty's take on coffee's mild shade yesterday, and with mel's point about coffee not voting to lynch yesterday when she could have easily been lynched.
overall, reads sketchy and wolfy to me.

This seems like feigned innocence to me

Mutt sounds a lot like the way I did when I first started out. It wasn't feigned but more experienced players also weren't buying it. I now see where they were coming from, but I wonder whether I should give the benefit of the doubt just knowing that I was also this way as a villager in previous games.

Also this may totally be WIFOM but...

Rules can change.
Also, wondering where this alleged item from Sport is, since I was expecting it to be featured in the write up if it was in play

lynch sport until this "item" comes up

Usually makes the game harder for wolves if they don't kill villagers, so skipping a night is not generally a thing that happens. Especially when there are roles that might block a kill as well; wolves skipping a night might get their next kill blocked and that makes things even harder for them. Roles that might block a kill are things like blocker or protector. Sometimes wolves get to convert a player to their side and sometimes they can't kill and convert someone on the same night. Items can also block kills if they are protective, but it sounds like Sporty wasn't expecting the item to go out until this morning, so I don't know how that would have happened. Items usually aren't featured in write-ups. Villagers who have them try to keep quiet about holding one lest the wolves decide to kill them to try to take the item out of the game.

How do you feel about Sporty being a counterwagon to Coffee?

If not Mutts who would you be voting?

I'm also following mutt's logic on Sporty and the suspicious lack of an item so far... if no item appears tonight my vote switches to sporty

your thoughts?

edit to clarify: if mutt is not a wolf, her logic is sound. i still think she is wolfy though and she could be trying to throw shade on sporty. so for now, i'm gonna stick with mutt.

edit again to further clarify: it sporty's item comes into play, mutt looks extra wolfy IMO

Lynch write up for coffee described her as a "vanilla wolf." Does that mean that there are likely wolves with powers, and if a wolf has a power can they use it and kill on the same night or do they have to choose one or the other? I ask mainly because it feels as if an attempted kill blocked with either a villager power or an object would be mentionable in the write up.

I don't usually hear much about items outside of PMs in any game so I think those of you looking in that direction are going the wrong way. Items are usually kept quiet the way genny mentioned. Waiting for an item to "appear" is the wrong way to look at it. You will likely not see it anywhere on this thread (in a writeup, etc). My guess it that it was used to block a wolf kill last night, if the item even exists. Sometimes people will say they have an item as an act of self preservation, such as in Sporty's case, but an item isn't necessarily a good thing.

it feels as if an attempted kill blocked with either a villager power or an object would be mentionable in the write up.

You would think, but traditionally I just see the completed actions (i.e. "no kill occurred tonight") in the writeup and no explanation as to how or why it happened. There are more experienced players than myself here that may be able to comment to the contrary. Just sharing my own experience.

Wolves with powers almost always are able to use their power and kill on the same night. I’ve never seen it where they have to choose one or the other.

There may or may not be wolf power roles. And yes, wolves can use their abilities in additional to the kill unless stated otherwise. Reasoning for no-kill being mentioned in the write up depends on the mod and game. Specifics aren't usually in write-up though because then wolves would have no way to defend themselves.

Let me clarify, I meant the people who were voting for me at the time (You and Jboo) I asked you both how you feel staying on my vote because it was close to lynch close and you both had voted for me without much reasoning.
D1 is always a crapshoot for me. I RNG’d and you were the lucky winner. And then I was studying all day

Okay, so I iso'd Dandelion and found the three games she played prior to this with accurate reads. All village. This isn't out of her range.
Ty for this, her very well thought out post set off alarms for me too. Good to know she’s not a *super* noob.

I wonder if allieh is unable to post due to game reasons? Is that a thing that happens?

***lynch allieh***

I dont think one vote is enough to get her to say something (not because of personal experience, just an assumption), but I'm a bad strategist at the beginning of games and my "catching up" that has been mentioned a couple times has been quite half assed, to say the least. Just an interesting couple of days for me IRL.

I don’t like this. Particularly the first part.

How is allie pinging your radar when she didn't post anything?
Because she usually pops in at least once or twice a day.

I don't think that it's good play for a wolf to jump on in the last five minutes like this, but also holy heck, not even any reasoning for a vote on me?
Didn’t realize my vote was on a bandwagon bc I was skimming, my b. The reason was that you were more active yesterday than I’m used to and it was weirding me out a bit.

I still need to see more from jboo.
Well sorry friend but gap-year-jboo is gone forever! The only hope you have of seeing more from me is during breaks.

Which folks?
Something is still bothering me about SAR although I can’t put my finger on it completely. And then mutts, which I’ve had mixed feelings of noob~noob wolf. So I may place my vote there today. Actually I’ll just go ahead and put it there now at least until I hear from jboo, or I have a revelation about SAR. But I have some more tin-foily thoughts about a few others.

Yeah, but she hadn't posted anywhere on the thread in days or otherwise showed any sign of knowing it started.

Well, since I'm looking for content and not posts, I don't think it should affect anything.

What are the other tin-foily thoughts?

It's one of my theories. The item announcement prompted the vote change and yet there's no item.
So here's my problem with the idea that Sporty is a wolf: she announced her role and switched to coffee with less than 5 minutes left in the lynch. Coffee was voting for Sporty already. If both coffee and sporty were wolves, why not just let sporty go down and give coffee the village cred? Why not have sporty keep her vote where it was, and get coffee to swing the lynch to you after sporty announced her role? Why potentially put two wolves in danger with a tie?

What are the other tin-foily thoughts?
Well one is about Sporty being a wolf but it’s like way out there to the point that I feel like I’m crazy, so I won’t delve into that one.

The other one is just me being bothered by all the different new players playstyle and me trying to remember my first game. Bc what if dandy and grebes are wolves and one is feigning noob innocence, with all the questions, and vote flipping and then you have Dandy being a super educated newer player and it’s throwing people off. It’s kinda hard at least to me to call people out for being too knowledgeable while at the same time saying oh your flip flopping and noob-y questions are throwing up red flags. Idk in my brain it just seems like the perfect wolf combo.

But overall probably highly unlikely, just me being super paranoid

If shes a wolf with abilities, it wouod make sense to lynch the wolf with none since both were suspects.

Maybe her item did save someone last night, I haven't seen proof. I didn't realize we wouldn't know when/if items were used in the write-ups

I'm still working out how to think through Coffee's old posts, to be honest. She mentioned shelter, sporty, and grebes as her "top suspects." I've been going back and forth all day on whether it would be smarter for a wolf to mention all villagers in a suspicion list or to include a wolf in the mix. It seems like it would be smarter to mention at least one wolf on their so that if they go down before you do it gives you credibility. And if you go down before any of the people you mentioned, you didn't just clear 3 villagers. I'm not a hundred percent sure where I fall on the argument, but for now I'm tentatively lynching grebes.

What do you think about the non-noob players outside of Sporty?

This is very much WIFOM. Definitely depends on the wolf and game.
