How do you know you were protected?
Also, I need you guys to know that the phrase "eagle eye" for people who have exceptionally good vision is because the eagle and hawk and other birds of prey have exceptional vision, even as good as 20/4, whereas a typical human with no refractive error typically sees in the 20/20 to 20/15 range. The highest resolution the human eye can obtain is 20/8. What this means is that at 20 feet away, an eagle can see things that the average human eye can only see when they are 4 feet away! They have round pupils which can constrict to further sharpen vision by providing a pinhole effect. This is how they are able to track tiny prey on the ground from way up in the air! The amount of cones in their eye is much higher also providing them with superior color vision, and the ability to distinguish all the way into the UV light spectrum! In addition to being super cone-rich, their foveas are also deeper to provide better stereopsis/depth perception.
