I have this coming up on Monday and I'm terrified. Anyone have any tips? I'm kind of super confused and curious as to what the group problem solving activity would be like. As anyone experienced anything like this? What was it like?
Also if anyone wants to share any questions they were asked...
Hello everyone! After combing through many of the other threads in search of information about this year's VCU application cycle (and coming up empty handed) I decided to start one myself! Has anyone heard back yet? According to the admissions timeline on the website, regular decision...
I was wondering if anybody knows anything or has any information regarding UAB's OT school interview. I have been trying to look up information but have not found anything. Any information would greatly be appreciated!
I will be applying to OT school this month and was hoping to get some feedback on what people who have already applied and been accepted (or not) thought of my chances. Here's some background.
Cumulative GPA: 3.44
Pre-Req GPA: 3.6 or 3.75 (depending on what the school requires for pre req's)...
I am currently a Junior right now. Now I am a little afraid of grad school and how you will intensely study for 2-3 years. Right now, I am not too confident about performing well in grad school, PT or OT. Over the past few semesters, I have been trying to become a better student with no prevail...
So I will be applying to several OT programs in the next month or so. The dilemma I'm having is on whether or not to retake the GRE. I took it last week and didn't score as high as I expected. My questions is, should I just use my current scores and submit my applications early as I...
Just curious to see how many schools you all have applied to!
I applied to both doctorate and masters (had aid in paying for application fees). Total cost after transcripts, GRE scores, and application fees was about $1,050.
I have wanted to be an OT since I was 16. Occasionally I waver between OT and Clinical Psych but ultimately I know OT is the best option for me. I have been working hard to maintain an excellent GPA and participate in relevant extracurriculars. Here are my stats so far
Overall GPA: 3.71...
Are there any students who attend chicago state university or has graduated from their program? It's hard to find information that wasn't 4 years ago, and I would like to know what your experience was like?
I haven't found much of anything except a couple nasty reviews.
Any info would help!
Unfortunately I did not get into graduate school this year...
I wanted to do something different with my year off. I was considering doing a program abroad for OT potential students- observe OT in a different country. I was wondering could I put these on my resume and include it in my total...

Hello! So basic story is that my undergraduate GPA is embarrassingly low (2.4 at the time of graduation). I was at a large and competitive public university majoring in biology. Going into undergrad I was thinking about med school so I tried (and failed) classes that I thought would be useful. I...
I have accepted a spot at Allen College and I wanted to see who else has! I'm really excited and also looking for a possible roomie. It's me and my puppy (lab collie mix, hes perfect). Renting a house is dirt cheap ($500/mo) for two bedrooms.
So I have accepted a spot at Allen College for their MOT program :) I HIGHLY recommend applying they are a fantastic group of people.
They don't just look at your gpa they look at you as a whole person. Anyone else going there that has been accepted?!
University: University of...

So my family support is nonexistent since I came out and I am not 110% sure if I could handle school and working. I want to focus on my studies, but I don't want to be up to my ears in loans after graduating.
Does the graduate school one attends for their MSOT or DOT really matter? (in terms of future job placement) Programs are so expensive. Applications aside, planning out interviews and paying for deposits has become extremely costly. I'm torn between picking a lower ranked...
I just e-submitted my application on OTCAS yesterday and was just wondering if anyone knows typically how long it takes to get verified. Also, being that I submitted fairly early for this cycle, does it make a difference? I applied to USC's early decision and was wondering if anyone knew...
Hello everyone, I have not posted here yet but have been following the boards for quite some time. I need guidance from people with experience in the OT industry. I am 25 years old and graduated from college with a 3.01 on the dot with a BS in Biology. Unfortunately, this is not competitive in...
So I just finished up my Freshman year at Boston University, where I'm majoring in Behavior and Health, a program designed to prepare students for OT school. I'm hoping to intern/volunteer this summer at an Applied Behavioral Analysis center in my home state. However, my main goal is to...
I am currently trying to decide between Bay Path University, Salem State University and SUNY Downstate MOT programs. I am having a hard time choosing, so if anyone has any advice on either program that would be great. Thanks!
Some of the questions I am inquiring about as well...
I applied for Chicago State University's OT program. I already had my interview back in February and I am anxiously waiting back for the news! Is there anyone else waiting back for a response or does anyone care to share their application process experience? I'm wondering should I give them a...
I am new to this thread/forum, but what I have read has been incredibly helpful already so I decided to join!
I graduated with a kinesiology degree in August 2015. I thought I would NEVER go back to school. Well that has changed! I started working with children and adults with...
Has anyone heard back from Long Island University Brooklyn? A few weeks ago I got an email saying I was accepted to the program, then the next day I got a second email stating that the first email was a mistake, and that I was actually not accepted. :( (I got Steve Harvey-ed). They told me that...
I have an interview coming up with St. Augustine in Austin, TX and was wondering if anyone could give me some tips. What sort of questions will be asked and what sort of topics will be covered for the written portion? I've been doing a lot of research on my own to prepare but wanted some insight...
