Did anyone who interviewed at Loyola already get one of those Conditional Acceptance background check (CBC) e-mails? If so, when did you interview?

I'm guessing those are only sent after you have been notified of an acceptance (correct me if i am wrong). They said on interveiw day that the earliest you would notifed by telephone would be October 15th, and that is when you could be expecting to hear.

I'd say it was about two-3 weeks. I dont remember the exact day i was called though.

Their secondary is a pain in the butt! Just work it out as quick as possible so you are under consideration for interview ASAP. best of luck!

o'hare and midway are about equidistant. the school is actually in maywood, not chicago. flights into midway will be cheaper, plus there are way fewer delays because its a smaller airport. congrats on the interview! i really hope i get one too 🙂

Put it this way--I just got 3 MD interviews granted from Oct. 13th - 16th!
I feel that all it really did was have them briefly look at my profile as they put my new MCAT scores with it. And that was enough to persuade 3 schools to let me interview.

I just got my interview invite by phone call. It's kind of awkward because I didn't expect it and was completely unprepared for which date I should choose. I asked for which days were available, and she made it sound like any day M-F is available. I'm going to call her in the morning.

Oglesby!!!!! You da man!!!

Closest airport is Ohare. thats where I flew in, and it was about 15-20 min from campus (with major construction on the freeways). They do have a student host program. You have to call admissions and let them know you wanna be a part of it and then they will find someone for you. Its different than other schools in that they dont give you a list. They find one person who agrees to host you, and then they give you that one persons contact info. Any other questions just PM me.

Yeah, i'm in the same boat. I sent my 2ndary out around that time and still have not received a 'complete' email. It sucks, but hopefully they'll come around to our apps pretty soon.

I prefer to think of it as we didn't get an interview yet. We still have until Wednesday to complete the 3 weeks of review time. It's possible that the people reviewing the files of those who were offered interviews are just quicker at getting their recommendations in.

I'm really hoping for an interview here, let's try to keep our hopes up until Thursday 9-5! I'm sure we all will be calling in if we haven't received that phone call.

It depends on if you're interviewing on a weekday or a weekend. I was flying out of midway and my flight didn't leave until 7pm. But for perspective, I made it to the airport around 5pm. Of course, I took public transportation. I would say you'd be safe to leave that same day, but not to schedule your flight out before 6:30 or so.

I was told I was on hold when I called at 3 weeks. 🙁 Maybe they will come around. They do say that they will re-evaluate your app again in 4 weeks or so.

I just have a quick question for those already interviewed:

This can be somewhat random because interviews are scattered throughout the day. I had my first interview at 9 AM and my second at 1 PM but another guy had one at 9 AM and the other at 11 AM. No matter what there is a significant amount of paperwork that you need to complete between your tour and interviews so I would not count on driving out of the parking lot before 4 PM. Good Luck!

hey guys... so I just called Loyola and they told me that although i've been complete for around 1.5 months, they JUST started getting to my file... so i guess that's semi good news. he said that they are so backed up because there are so many applications this year.

yeah, I called them today also. I was officially complete on Oct. 1st...but the guy told me that I am still under review and to call back again in another 3 weeks if I still dont hear anything. I am taking this as somewhat good news....but does anyone know if they have actually waitlisted anybody pre-interview...or is this never-ending review synonymous w/ a hold?????
