same. So is "final decision" and "additional correspondence" = good chance of acceptance?
mine also says 12/19..but it says that since the first time I checked today morning which was like 4 hrs ago..
In an earlier post, someone said they got the CBC the following morning.
so anyone receive a cbc email yet?
This is what happened to me. From my understanding, the additional correspondence is the big packet with a lot of information and your site placement card. CONGRATS!the first time I saw "Decision Made...." there was no date in the add corr box. It has since changed to 12/19/08. I think its a good sign because the only person on this forum to received a rejection letter after a post-interview decision made notice did not have an additional correspondence on their status page.![]()
well i interviewed 12/1/08.
i recieved the email saying that i am still under consideration. anyone have any idea what would be good for me to do so that i can join you all in january with an acceptance?
i can only hope for the best, but it's no fun being stuck really in between and not knowing my fate at uic. i had hoped for some love/acceptance since i was gppa and i feed uic a lot of my money in undergrad now.
saddest of days.
congrats to all of you. come to millennium park anytime and i can get you all free skates....pm me if you want.
Still a little early, anyone wake up to a CBC email. I didn't but I'm hoping it will come some time today.
nope, I had both
ok so you are in the same boat as me. Thanks for confirming. Can other people please confirm it as well?
Congrats BSharp! I live in the north suburbs of Chicago, but did not receive anything in the mail today. Do you live in the city?
that's right, I have not yet received the cbc email. it doesn't seem like others have either. maybe tomorrow??Congrats Bsharp! So just to clarify, you have not yet received your CBC email right? And so far nobody on this forum has?
I could do that, but we'll see how crappy it is outside next week. (i wonder if their not already closed for break anyway...) i'm heading out of town so at the very least i'll have to send it in the mail before leaving. they make it sound like it's first come, first served, but from other posts in this thread, that might not be the case. i'm not exactly sure how they make the determination, but i'll post when i get my assignment.COngratz B33sharp!!!!!! When do you plan on turning in your site preference card? I assume your gonna head over to UIC and just hand it in.
i had both
RueTay said:Another day awaiting confirmation. CBC emails should come today for those accepted. Maybe tomorrow, maybe some packets come tomorrow, who knows. This wait is really starting to get to me. I'm going to church
I think my packet is going to miami just like my interview invite even tho I live in north chicago (the surburb) and my amcas CLEARLY states the latter as my preferred mailing address.
Hey thats my situation too. They sent my interview invite to my folks place in MN. I wonder if that means they are considering us as in state or OOS applicants. I claimed residency in Illinois but for some reason they have been using my parents address(St. Paul MN, permanent) and not my current (oak park IL) address. If accepted, I hope to pay IS tuition because my wife and I have lived here for almost 2yrs, she has worked here full time for over a year, we pay IL taxes, are registered in IL for everything, etc.
Just curious, but why did you list your parents address as your permanent address if you have been married for a couple years and living in Illinois?
I don't think it will matter, if your wife has been working for over a year I'm sure you'll pay instate tuition, although they may find it odd that you listed your parents as your permanent address. I'm glad to know that there will be another married student in our class!! If you get placed in Urbana for the first year we should get together 🙂
Congratulations and hopefully the CBC comes quickly!
Basically, i did it because I applied to all the MN schools and I wanted evidence of ties to MN. Because while I'm a resident of IL, I've spent 90% of my life in MN. So for IL schools I claimed residency in IL, and for the MN schools I talked about my life long ties to MN.

So nobody here has received the cbc email right? It is Sunday, so I guess I shouldn't be expecting anything today...hopefully good news tomorrow!
