I interviewed ab a month ago and got the same letter. Hopefully some seats will open up in April when they ask for people holding more than one seat to either claim or give up their seat in Shreveport. Right now, I'm sure they are at or near capacity. Just stay confident. And from the looks of your avatar I think I interviewed with you in NOLA.

yeah, shreveport interviews til april i believe. the very last interviews are individual interview days, meaning you're alone during your day, not with a group of 14 like it normally is.

they'll send you an email telling you when they've stopped interviewing in groups, and last year that was on march 27th.

not sure if they'll do another full committee meeting. and if they do, it'll be around may 15th id assume. but they can call you any day as far as acceptances go i think. so keep your phone handy! lol

Haha I certainly will. I'm applying with a 3.9 and 28 so I still have hopes; my application wasn't complete until September and I didn't interview until the spring though. So should I quit checking the mail everyday and just expect a phone call? In other words, do they not send letters anymore at this point?

I received my acceptance today. Mrs. H. from admissions called me yesterday and left me a voicemail. I called her back today and she told me the great news! 😀

oh you have good stats. this is completely UNJINXED but i think you should get in soon. 🙂
and as far as letters go, you can still keep an eye on the mail. they're taking people off the list now tho so i think you'll more than likely be getting a call, and THEN your letter.

Just hang it out a little bit longer (I'm a reapplicant so I've been waiting nearly two and a half years for this moment). I was just as nerve wracked as you are but you have great stats and I'm sure that an acceptance is heading your way VERY soon. Good things come to those who wait believe me.

Just got an email this morning from LSU New Orleans telling me I have been accepted and due to the time constraints they were informing me via email and mailing my letter today.
However now I have to decide on Shreveport or New Orleans. Which is the better school guys?

However now I have to decide on Shreveport or New Orleans. Which is the better school guys?

well which one would be the better fit for you? shreveport has about half as many students in their first year class as nola, so i feel like you'd get more interaction with your professors, which is great. but its up to you, no one can really make the decision for you. congrats on your acceptances!!

First off congrats on having two acceptances 🙂 I think that if you like smaller schools, Shreveport will definitely be a better fit for you. You will probably get to know your classmates more personally in a class of 118 in Shreveport vs. a class of 200 in New Orleans. However, New Orleans does have a much better location, nightlife, etc. You're going to be a doctor no matter where you go so just go wherever feels right for you.

well i did 2 years ago at both lsu-no and shreveport, for some reason this year just lsu-no, but i just got an email from shreveport saying they may still call me for an interview in a month. I can't believe they sent that this late in the cycle!

wow, really? last year i got my rejection letter from shreveport in about the middle of april. thats crazy that they might be interviewing people in june..?

Got a call Friday saying I was accepted, my guess is someone dropped. But I decided to keep my spot in New Orleans so I hope one of you gets some good news this week! Good luck.

Just got a rejection letter Tues. My heart skipped a beat-I thought it was LSU-NO because it was the same letterhead and envelope! It was SO scary-until i looked at the top and saw SHREVEPORT! And the signature of Dr. Kennedy!!! I'm on alternate list for LSU-NO, I'm not having the best luck this year!🙁

Thanks for the sympathy... I'm keeping on my toes.. Prob will re-apply soon as a back up plan...
