So I just got the acceptance packet in the mail. I'm slightly confused/concerned about the Intent to Register Form. The only options are to matriculate or to withdraw my application, but it is due in two weeks? This can't be right. Or can you send it in saying you intend to martriculate and then withdraw later if you like a better school? RySerr, your input could be helpful. LOL

there was confusion about this last year too. you arent signing away your soul or anything. its just to hold your spot. you can withdraw later if you choose. Just check matriculate and then send it in. better school than UCI? What is this you speak of? No such thing exists.

I'm with you there bear. I've been "pending review" then "decision pending" for a long, long time now. I was complete 8/20. Has anyone from this time period heard about an interview yet?

I had a friend who was complete in the summer last year but not offered an interview until late January/early February. She was a 4.0/38, if that helps.

I just got invited to complete a secondary last night. I thought I was done with all my secondaries but i guess not? Is there any point in doing it or did I just get a secondary this late so they can make some money off of me? Anyone else get one so late? I'm out of state by the way......

I would DEF fill it out. What do you have to lose? Obviously they want to know more about you. I am assuming getting an OOS secondary is an honor since they are VERY CA biased.

there is no advantage to interviewing early in the year at UCI, and therefore no disadvantage from interviewing or filling out a secondary "late" in the year (words from the Dean of Admissions). Interviewing in september is the same as interviewing in March. If you are interested in coming to UCI, fill it out.

It is rolling in that they accept as they interview but its different b/c they only select a set number from each interview day. Only like 1/3 of each intervview group will get accepted straight from interview. The rest go on the waitlist. So even if you interview on the last interview day there will be about 1/3 of those people accepted right away and teh rest will be on the waitlist

My best friend interviewed on this date. It would be AWESOME if he got in too. He refuses to get on SDN though, so keep us updated on when decisions go out so I can let him know.

Submitted AMCAS at the end of July, but released my scores the beginning of Sept due to my July MCAT. My status for a secondary says "pending review". Anyone just at this stage that hasn't been rejected? Am I going to have to wait for a while still?

I am still in this phase as well, but did not have any MCAT waiting to be released, so I was complete early July with them, I think.
I think it might be too early... i hate doing status checks on my online over and over again, im just waiting for a bunch of people to post from the same interview date.
It says application complete "8/11" on my status page, so it is safe to assume that I am still sitting tight, correct? I only ask this because there's no date next to the "supplemental fee" (although I did qualify for the FAP waiver and did not have to pay).

i was in the same boat and was assured on two different occasions (one through email that i sent a week before i called) that there wouldn't be a date next to fee paid if you paid via waiver. at that time i hadn't been completed yet, which was why i called to confirm, but i wouldn't worry if you have a complete date. you can always call though if you're worried. they were very nice!

what do you mean this late? its early november. schools interview through march. Congrats on the interview 🙂
schools interview through march... but a lot of schools are scheduling their jan/feb interviews NOW!! 🙁
I just got the invite last thursday and was able to get a last minute opening for nov 16th. Guess I just got lucky. Gayle from the admissions office said the next openings were in January though.
Okay my actual question. Anyone able to access the "interview instructions" link on the status page? I've been getting a 404 not found for the last week or so.

I got an interview yesterday for December 14th (the only day I was offered).
Been able to access the instructions with no problem (at least as of this afternoon), so notsure whats going on there.
Firefox was blocking the pdf pop-up, thanks. Yeah the 12/14 was available when I got mine as well. I wonder if that's one of the last before Winter break.

we are done the 18th, so yes it is.
I still haven't received a secondary from this school...my status page still reads "pending review". I sent them a short update letter several weeks ago with my coursework for this quarter and a new research position I took on and they said they would add it to my file. Does anyone have any recommendations on anything I should try or are they just taking forever because I'm still somewhere waiting to be evaluated for a secondary. I was AMCAS verified 9/1 so it's been a good 2 months now.

I would just be patient. It sucks, but you gotta do it. If they reject you pre secondar you can always appeal.

My primary was received by UCI on 8/10 and I'm still "pending review" for a secondary. It's been nearly three months! I've called them many times and sent in an update letter (planning on sending another soon). They've always been very nice over the phone. The lady I spoke to yesterday said that I didn't pass the initial screen but that my application will get a "courtesy review." I just wish I can get a secondary from them! UCI is seriously my dream school, I would LOVE to go there. My MCAT isn't the best but I would say just about everthing else on my application is decent.

Hey, I'm having problems accessing the statement of legal residence form, anyone else having trouble? When I open the pdf file, I see where the link should be, but the link is not there.
If previous interview days are any indication, waitlist notices should be posted on tuesday for the 10/19 group....
First interview was 9/23, approx 4 wks later on a tuesday waitlists were posted 10/20.
Second interview was 10/7, approx 4 wks later on a tuesday 11/3 waitlists were posted.
So 10/19, a full 4 weeks is 11/16, so tuesday looks like the day....

Just remember that some people get WL after the big batch too, so try not to read too much into it, and if you do get the blank status, it can still be weeks before you get the call. Good luck to you all! I'm going up tonight again to interview for PRIME-LC, I decided to fill out the secondary for it post-interview, it will be cool to go back knowing I'm already in🙂
