about 2 weeks I think... if you have not been reviewed yet- dont sweat it, ur time will come

If u've been reviewed and placed in eligible for interview pool, don't sweat that either, plenty of people have had there status change

Also I think, but not positive, that there was another review of interviewees last night and people could here anything between now and monday... although there are people interviewing today so might not hear anything.. still though GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!!!!!

As far as I know, this is correct. There was a review last night, and if you don't hear anything by Monday (assuming you interviewed two weeks ago or so), you should call.

On my interview 10/23 REL said the comittee makes decisions on Nov 4
 
Would u drive an hour 2 school im thinkn about and usn that time 2 listen 2 lessons any current ucf students... What time does class bgin and end

I think it depends on how you feel about driving. I HATE driving. Well.....it's not that I hate driving, I just hate all the other people driving around me. I become this.....:diebanana::boom:
Also, how will this affect your family? Where will your child be for daycare? If your child is in daycare an hour away near your home, will you have a support network near there to pick your child up if s/he gets sick, hurt, etc? Or will you have to drive the hour? If your child will be in daycare near school, that shouldn't be an issue. Is the hour in a direction closer to rotation sites? Or will those be even further? Or will you plan to move after the 2nd year? Lots of things to think about.

I thought they didn't record lectures? Unless you brought your own recorder i suppose

They're warming up to the idea now, since many students record the lectures themselves anyway and share them.
 
C i just got my license march 08 so i love drivn i failed 3 times n nyc and twice here drivn n miami does bring out the nyc n me my daughter will b n day care near school...im thinkn about switchn 2 att 4 the iphone when i was shadown all the med students had a pharm progam downloaded that gives all info about drugs what is the diff bw a iphone and blackberry

both can probably run that program. i'm assuming you're talking about the diff bw iphone and the blackberry storm, in which case the average user probably won't notice too much of a difference. I would wait 'till the droid comes out and see how that does before buying a high-end touchscreen phone.
 
how much would the droid be and is it with att or verizon? I can not see myself paying more than 250 for a phone i just want to download music check internet and listen to lessons when I am working out or drivn. when does the droid come out

Before this process started I told myself that I wouldn't have a top school choice. After my interview here yesterday that may have changed 😀. I just wish I had a bit better chance of getting accepted...

Me too buddy, cuz i just heard over the weekend- waitlisted... man I had my hopes high, but I sure do hope the rest of you get interviews and accepted- AMAZING SCHOOL!

Keeping the hope alive though..
 
There will be more decisions this weekend. I am praying for an acceptance!
 
I will send you positive energy and ensure that it reaches you.....yeah I know what you mean my top choice was HOWARD until I got accepted here- the interview, the atmosphere is enough to make you really hate it or really love it at UCF. everyone keeps asking me why not howard and i refer them to the website for ucf com but they still do not get it. i still get choked up over my decision

droid will be verizon, and if I had to guess, you can probably buy it for 250 or less if you sign a contract. It comes out probably late this month or some time in december.

However, if you're just gonna use it to play music, check internet, and listen to lessons then there are some much cheaper phones out there that look just as good and can do all that. Phones like the iPhone and Droid have some pretty advanced features that only the avid users use and those features make them pretty expensive.
 
thanks you are right i am NOT an avid user so i should look at other options i was just really impressed how the ipod was used to obtain drug information for the patients while they were being seen

I have an iphone and 😍😍😍 LOVE it! Some of my friends have heartburn with AT&T, so have elected to wait or get something else, but I haven't had any issues. I can't wait to get all the med apps.
 
Got put into the eligible for interview pool today...praying (and claiming) that I get chosen for an interview!
 
I am so nervous! Supposed to hear something this weekend!!! Praying for an acceptance!!!!

REL, I'm curious about how many people are interviewed each week, is the class full yet and is a scholarship going to be available? Thanks for any info you can offer.

I'll paraphrase from my experience on REL's magical bus tour:
10-15 interviewees per week, adcom gathers every other week and decides the fate of the pool. Top ~6 are accepted, the others are ranked and are eligible during the next selection. They won't over-admit and I think he said the class will be full by mid-March-ish? The intention is to fund 3/4 scholarship for the class although they have none of that money yet.

Great job!!! Right on target! I'll add that the class size is intended to be 60 and we have had two "Admit Meetings" to date with another due on Nov 12. Unlike most programs we will not over-admit and will have open seats available for every group who interviews through the middle of March. The reason we will not over-admit again this year is because I suspect that we will have scholarships for ?some/all? by the time we are done interviewing. Last year we only had about 12-15 of the full charter class scholarship by this time of year and the Orlando community came through. I do not know what the outcome will be this year, but I confident that we will have some.

So, I guess in doing the math, 5-10 acceptances have been offered for the second year class.

Hi. I think maybe the Oct 23 group is confused in general. You told us on the bus ride that the next meeting was on Nov 4 and that we'd hear from you the fifth or sixth. Maybe there was a mix up?

LOL. I was scared and feared the worst before i went on this forum and noticed that a lot of Oct 23 interviewees were also waiting.

I know you're busy so take your time. I think there was just some miscommunication; it is a bit of a stressful day.

It was probably a mix up, because on our bus ride(10/30), he told us that they meet every couple of weeks and 10/29 was one and 11/12 was another. I'm gonna assume that you'll hear from them on 11/13, this friday, along with us 😀
 
Kind of nervous, really loved it here. Am kind of ambivalent about hearing tomorrow, I feel like Im a waitlist guy.

Why do you feel that way. You think your interview didn't go as well as you would have hope? I am interviewing here next friday and I am so excited. This is definitely one of my top choice. :luck::xf::luck:

When were u complete? And when were u offered ur interview invite?

Does anyone know if they make decisions about who they are going to give interviews to at the same time that they make decisions about interviews😕?
