This whole guessing thing is getting kind of disappointing!
 
I do agree that the waiting is very frustrating but I do not think the they will necessary send acceptances on the same dates as last year.

With that said, I am going to check my email right now! 😀
 
I guess they couldn't figure out how to get the online payment thing working.

They wanted check deposit, so I sent them in yesterday.

Good luck to those still waiting.

Ditto. I kept thinking maybe I missed it!

So who's going to be there April 23rd?? Those of you that will be waiting still should show up and show off your skills! SHOW them why they need you!

I'll be there. I know I am going there but I want to meet some classmates to figure out possible roommates and such.

I dont think "those that are waiting still" are allowed to come on the 23rd. It is my understanding that it is for accepted students only, as I didnt get invited last year when I was on the waitlist.

Yeah I know they aren't supposed to! Haha it was kind of supposed to be a joke I guess...Must not have been very good! 😳
 
Does anyone know how many weeks off you get to prepare for the USMLE here?
 
All,

I have inside knowledge that there is going to be a delay in getting out the last minute acceptances and wait lists as the entire admissions staff picked Georgetown to go to the Final Four and they are now reeling after their brackets have been busted. I do not recommend calling for an update today.

I predict that those of us who are fortunate enough to get accepted or get put on the top 3rd of the wait list will hear this week, and the rest will hear the following week. But at this point whatever. The 31st is next Wednesday and 5 more days is nothing after waiting an eternity. Best of luck to you all. 👍
 
I am almost certain that I will be withdrawing my acceptance from this great institution. I hope someone that really wants to come here gets my spot

I'm in UCHSC class of 2010- I remember taking five weeks personally, but that didn't give me any time off prior. Most of my class took four weeks, which I think is plenty.

does anyone know if classes are webcasted?
 
Classes are not live webcast but they are recorded and on the interview day, they said that the lectures were available online as soon as the class finished.

I have heard from current students that some of the lectures are hard to watch online because the writing on the white boards does not show up at all due to the reflection. So, the students I talked to recommended always going to classes.

Just bought this house for myself (no wife, babies, or anyone else besides my 5 year old dog) and am going to rent the two other rooms to med students as an investment and a nice place to live.

Just FYI... there's a condo that sold in my division for 50K. 3 bedroom, 2 bath, something like 1300 sq feet, a pool in the summer, water, garbage and landscaping included in the HOA fees. It's Robinwood Condos off of Alameda, between Buckley and Tower. The bus (3) stops right across the street, though I'm not certain just how much has changed since I last lived there.

Just another thing to keep in mind.
 
Bottom third via status page...hard to be sad when there are already a few other options to pick from.

Hey, I am waitlisted as well. What exactly does bottom third entail? I can't remember what they said from the interviews.
I am not opposed to blunt honesty

Also, how do we confirm that we want to still be considered??

Have all of the stutus updates been for the bottom third so far?
 
Middle third. I know last year not many got in from the middle but anyone know about years before?
 
wonder if they are working from the bottom up? Anyone get a flat out rejection?
 
We got our passwords in the secondary invite e-mail.

Also, from last years thread, it looks like they handed out top 1/3 e-mails first followed by middle and bottom 1/3.
 
anyone hear top thirds? Also seemed like last year there were acceptances handed out as well with alt lists...
 
Me too. Third year in a row. Thankfully I now have other choices.
 
Rejected this year. Was on the waitlist last year.

Really do not understand this. Followed up and did what they asked me to do and I thought my interviews went very well. Seriously what the....😳

Also rejected today, had good interviews and above average stats. I finally know where I'm going to be next year though!
 
waitlisted, bottom third (aka rejected...sweet). i have other options, but i was really hopin for this one. best of luck to the rest of you

That makes two of us. I never thought that being waitlisted last year would guarantee anything, but I definitely thought I was on the right track. The question I keep asking myself is, how did I go from being competitive enough to get in should a spot in the class have theoretically opened up last year to not even being considered for the waitlist this year? I'm not sure that I will ever understand CU.
 
middle third.....FML. Anyone think there is still a chance??

After being in CO for the past 20 years, I think its time for me to move elsewhere anyways 🙂
 
Also rejected wholesale... Also don't really understand. The words keep ringing "If you're sitting in this room, you have almost a 50 percent chance." I thought my interviews were the best I've had, in three years applying! So to not even get a "waitlist 3, thanks for trying" is baffling.

I would agree with this, CU doesn't make any sense to me. Sorry to the people that were rejected. I was rejected last year and while I was pretty upset at the time, it was probably the best possible thing that could have happened to me. I would have never gotten out of Colorado had I been accepted, and I really 😍 Pitt and it is a perfect fit for me. I hope all of you that didn't get into CU have an awesome experience at another school. 🙂

I was away at a conference yesterday and today, so I didn't find out until just now, but I was also rejected. Which I don't get, because I was much more competitive this time around, and two state schools (one of which basically doesn't take OOS applicants) accepted me, but CU doesn't even waitlist me. I'm debating whether or not to e-mail the dean to find out what's up... I'm just curious now, since I finally know where I'm going.

Not a clue, but I really don't want to take the time to go to one of the counseling sessions for rejected applicants, especially since I'm not reapplying. So, I figure sending an e-mail asking for a quick reason would be better than wasting both our time. Besides, it's not like they can do anything for asking...
