Yea, I posted that a while ago, found out from a buddy of mine, sorry that sucks for you.
Anyone brave enough to call them and find out if they met?
Maybe we're all just on hold? haha that would be a terrible coincidence.
i...also...received...something...
Oh my ****ing god...if this is actually good news i am going to yelp and scream....oh ****ing god, for the love of god be good news...
Well, in any case, it means they met yesterday.
i love you man
additional correspondences!
Decision pending...
I guess I'm the only one left on hold :-(
I thought I was supposed to get a hold email or something. haha I wasn't even worth an email.
So bummed.
Congrats to everyone that got in today! I wish I could have joined you ahah.
If my case proves anything (and if I actually got in), it ain't over till it's over.
And, yes, if you are on hold, you will receive an e-mail Monday or Tuesday.
wow.. I can't believe it.... I got final decision has been made and the additional correspondence tab... I want to believe that I'm accepted but part of me thinks what if I don't get a CBC mail and what if I'm rejected?.. do you guys know of anyone getting rejected after this status change?? Man.. I'm ecstatic but at the same time, I don't want to go all out and celebrate... just not yet..
still pending here too 🙁.i could cry. did you guys who got decisions interview at rockford or Chicago?
Any advice on how to get to and from Rockford in one day? I will be in Chicago for the UMed interviews/Second Look day on Friday but want to see Rockford on Saturday if possible. I have a flight out of O'Hare at 5:30 PM.
Maybe the best way is to rent a car? Expensive, but most efficient, probably.

Chicago.
In September.

So I'm thinking if the color in which the current status is written might indicate something.. My current status of final decision made is in dark purpled box.. any of you guys have different color?
More of a violet than a purple. Purply. Purplish.
I think you're reading tea leaves here.
Hey, just checking, Additional Correspondences=in right?
At this point I'm sure most of the seats are taken. I think I'll probably just withdraw and work for a few years to reapply.
I really don't have it in me to be in limbo until June and then not get in. I probably couldn't have afforded $70,000 a year anyway.
Congrats to you though! I'm so happy that they accepted you. I told you that they kept you around for a reason.
Bye bye UIC thread. Congrats to all of you attending UIC this fall. 🙂
I am decision pending also...this really sucks...my only chance too🙁
I agree! There is no need to be rash 🙁
You never know what will happen! If you get in and still think you want to withdraw then that is ok. But don't do it before you find out the outcome!
I wish I could be as optimistic as you are but since this was my only chance left, it's not looking good. The outcome was a hold, which in my eyes is a rejection this late in the game. I would have much rather them rejected me than string me along until June to do so.
I wish I could wait around but I have to sign another year long lease somewhere by mid May. It's obviously not going to be Illinois unfortunately haha.
Hopefully all you guys will be back on the forums when I'm reapplying in a few years so that you guys can give me all the deets on UIC. 🙂
Honestly, I would not withdraw until you get a rejection. This is the time of year when people on hold start getting acceptances, i.e. when people with multiple acceptances start picking their schools.
You know what they say: hope for the best, plan for the worst. The worst has not yet come to pass yet, so hang in there, send in your letter of intent and updates.
The sad part is I sent my major update before the meeting... I have nothing left to share ahahaha
AAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! that's how I feel right now!!!
I had a decision was made notice as well BUT WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?! I know there has been a lot of speculation of what that could mean but anyone that has been accepted or rejected or waitlisted, or someone who has been following this thread for a long time, WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?!
I don't want to wait up to 2 weeks to find out! I've waited enough!!! I only interviewed in 03/22 but this is my second time applying... and after getting into THREE waiting lists let's just say that I am SSOOO tired of waiting!!
soo... is this good news, bad news, or more waiting?!
I have not encountered a single post or person who had the decision was made message before the month of may, POST interview that did not get accepted.
I am 99.99% sure you are accepted into UIC medical school. Congrats.
Please listen to me. DO NOT WITHDRAW. Everyone right now is holding on to their acceptances. Its not even May yet. UIC Accepts 600 people for a class of 300! Trust me, there is plenty of waitlist movement. At my interview they specifically told us that this year they are putting a LOT of people on hold on purpose and then at the end when they figure out their numbers, then they'll start accepting a bunch. Trust me, Im not trying to tell you to be all happy willy nilly optimistic, you have a GOOD shot at being accepted. Do not be rash about these things.
Its odd, your willing to wait a few years to reapply but not a few months to find out your actual decision?
Be reasonable, Id rather you wait 4 months to find out your rejected then pull out super early (its not even waitlist season yet). Your not alone, and its not that late in the game, its not like your waiting for an interview. UIC puts everyone on hold, and then accepts some and then puts the rest on waitlist, and then accepts a bunch from waitlist. SO please ride it out.
Do you by any chance know how things go from here on out? I know interviews are over so do they still have meetings every third thursday or are they more frequent now? Or do they just wait to meet until after May 15th? I would call but the ladies in the office claim to have no idea when or what is going on.
I don't think they'll be many people withdrawing. At my interview they said many more people were holding their acceptance at that point than any other year. But I guess we'll see.
I'll wait to withdraw in May. I can't risk signing a lease and having to break it because UIC decides they want me in July. If I didn't have to sign a lease I would wait until October if they wanted me to because it wouldn't make a difference.

Yes I meant to say that, additional correspondences tab is key. Message + tab, before May, and post interview, means acceptance.
ooohhh wait!
I have the message and the "additional correspondence" note in the interviewing schedule box (the yellow box). Is this what you are referring to or is a different note?
NOW I am really scared![]()
Yes, this is what she was referring to. And if it makes you feel any better, I am 100% sure that you are in. You are in, and you can celebrate in about a week!!! 😀 And if I am wrong, you can have my seat. 😀 😀
uuhhh... things just got REALLY interesting...
I should save this statement just in case. All of you reading this thread are my witnesses.
😀
But thanks dude... I am gonna wait till I get that confirmation. I have so many ppl putting their hopes on me that I don't know what I would do with myself if I said I got it and then...
Anyways.... thanks for all your replies! and i guess Congratulations to us?!
😀
so just out of curiosity, have there been rejections post-interiews? If so, how have they been different than acceptances?
