I know, I just think that'd be the ultimate zinger right there lol Something out of a terrible Twilight Zone or something that ends with "And then BBender716 would have gotten to interview, but since Delinquent #1 wasted an interview slot, UMichigan had to outright accept BBender716 without one." 😀

Edit: did anyone get deferred? Maybe they are waitlisting everyone not accepted?

Anyone else notice how often they mention going out to eat on their twitter? Every other days it's "off to get pizza at X then on to concert/game/meeting." I wonder if that's a result of the long hours or if they hate their spouse's cooking. haha maybe they're on that fast food diet? haha
 
i think it's just one person doing the twitter.

does seem like they love food. saw a lobster dinner on some flickr. mmmm.

At the interview day they mentioned it was Robert Ruiz and Dr. Steven Gay. Apparently Ruiz does most of the tweeting but sometimes Dr. Gay tells him what to tweet.

15 interview invites still remaining, second to last interview day being today. Gee, think the invites are going to ISers or OOSers? 🙄

if they are really letting the interviews trickle out like this, I would be shocked if OOS people got the last 15. it would almost be rude from an airline ticket perspective.
 
I got in today!!!!!!! 3.44gpa, 33 MCAT. Extra cir. volunteer work at clinics, schools, and college ball. Anything is possible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!🙂 my weekend is gonna be delightful

Only 15 spots lefts? There's gonna be a lot of file closing.
 
I have to say that even if my file gets closed and I don't get an interview, I'm pretty excited that I actually stayed in the running this long. It makes me feel better about my application. Plus following the twitter has been kinda amusing.

Like I said, I've met people at other interviews with the "File Closed" status and also the twitter said that is what it looks like when you have been rejected, so they have been doing it.
 
just hope for the best. nothing you can do now. just have faith and if things don't workout then try again.:xf:
 
I was in "Under Review" limbo until this month. Then I went to "Review Complete" and Today I am officially "File Closed"

So YES they are actually closing files.

Did u just go to the first page after logging in to see file closed? I don't see an option for review complete. Thanks
 
aw, too bad guys. i'm sure you'll have some difficult choices to make for yourselves in a few months 🙂. ps i really liked how everyone in this thread was always nice and supportive. so, yay!
 
Filed Closed as well. Sad sad day. Looks like I won't be back in Ann Arbor next year🙁 Best of luck to everyone else.
 
file closed here too, OOS. Not too surprised. Only took them literally 6 months to make a decision on my file...

I received the File Closed message today as well; seems the majority that posted were OOS! Good luck to the 15 still in the game:luck:
 
So far, I'm still in I guess...
have any IS people had their file closed today? I'm thinking they may have just dealt with OOS today.
Sorry to everyone who had there file closed, I'm sure since you are OOS and have made it this far, you are still pretty darn awesome. Theres still a good chance I will be joining you in a bit.

The waitlist message says that after may 1, the status will give your position on the waitlist, and the relative size of the waitlist. Did it say the size of the wait list last year? anyone know how big the waitlist was, or will be this year?

Time to move to Ohio! I thank Umich for my full-tuition undergrad scholarship! I'll miss you and so will my family (esp. the kid born there)!

On a serious note: Does anyone know if they send rejection letters? I need it to convince my bank to let me short sell my house...gotta get outta Dodge!

Be sure you dont hurt your credit, unless Case is giving you a full ride. I know somebody who couldn't get medical student loans, because they had bad credit

Umich undergrad, IS, rejected today as well.

I'm glad to see I'm in good company, and good luck to all those still in contention.

I still love this school. Go Blue!

Michigan resident, umich undergrad... file closed. Pretty unhappy about this one.

File closed yesterday...OOS too. And I do have to say as well, red10, it makes me feel better about my application that I've stayed in the game this long!

hey vc7777! were u in dr liu's class? if so, i am also her student and am heading to case next year however i won't be at cclcm. i didn't realize what that program was until it was too late. congrats on your acceptance! i was also rejected from UM. no interview... off to ohio!
 
Hi all,

I applied to UMich and my last status update for my application was in Nov. They said they would let all the pre-interview people know by 5 pm but I've seen no change online and haven't received an invite either. Maybe they lost track of me? Probably a big fat rejection. Should I even call into the office tomorrow?
