Yes, I sent in my updates on my research and fall grades.

Hey, does anyone know until when Toledo interviews and if they are still sending out interview invitations?

I called the admissions office and the lady told me I am not going to be presented to the committee until February 9th so looks like I have a bit of a waiting time. GL to everyone waiting to hear good news!

they are still giving out interview invites (scheduling in April now); :luck:

The only interview dates left now are in April? I've only been complete since October but I sent an update when it was requested in December. Hopefully I still have a chance...but starting to worry...😕

yeah; I am not sure if you should worry or not. I just know that when I scheduled my interview, April was the first opening. Good luck! :xf:

Thanks for the luck!! When were you complete? When did you get the invite?

I actually don't know when I was complete; I never got an e-mail indicating I was. It was sometime in December?? The interview invite came this week. Good luck, again.

I was wondering what the first 2 years are like in terms of class schedule. I would assume the anatomy block is the busiest, could you describe a typical week for us?

How much lecture/lab time per day?

How often are you tested?

If I remember correctly the lectures are audio recorded and placed online, is this true?

Is there any other huge pluses to UT besides the on-campus testing center and great board scores? Thanks in advance

Just got an interview invite last Thursday (the fourth). Arranged the interview this morning for April 19. I don't remember when I sent in the secondary, but it was over a month after I received it. Almost didn't send it in because I couldn't think of a way to answer the Cultural Competence section. I did send an update late Dec.

Anyone else interviewing that day, and does anyone know the interview format? For example, 1 v. 1, or a group interviewing you?

Best of luck to all interviewing here!

You'll have 2 one-on-one interviews that will last ~1 hour each. I believe they were open interviews.

so do you think the admissions committee is still going to meet today since there is a snow storm going on around these parts??? Also, do you guys think I would be crazy if I called to check the status of my app this afternoon since I know in theory the committee is meeting today? Would they tell me if I'm in over the phone? or would I have to wait for the e-mail around thursday?

It couldn't hurt. The worst they will tell you on the phone is no. I am waiting to hear back from here soon too.

My UT Alert text told me that my classes are canceled (on main campus) but that the health science campus (including the medical school) is still open! Good luck 🙂

I had the opportunity to move up my interview date from April to mid March so I took it yesterday. I'm waiting to hear back from OSU however (in about 10 days). If things work out, I will be giving up my interview to one of you guys 🙂

Best of luck to everyone

quick question, if we go to toledo do we need a 4wd car during the winter or are the roads pretty much paved well?

for ppl on the alternate list...did you guys get a CBC email??? I have heard that the e-mail can mean accept or waistlisted...what about those accepted did you guys get a CBC e-mail any help would be great!

Well, it would be nice to have 4-wheel drive in the winter, but it isn't necessary. Most locals don't. And we don't have huge amounts of snow like Cleveland or Buffalo.

The city does a very good job of snow removal, so I wouldn't be too concerned.

Yes, the roads are paved.

Please humor me, since this is like the ONE thing in my life I am on a personal crusade against, since I hate being temporarily blinded by kicked-up snow from a 75-mph-driving SUV on a snowy highway where everyone else is driving 40....

4WD offers no advantage on (essentially) frictionless surfaces, such as icy or snowy roads.

So you definitely don't need 4WD...but you will need a bucket for trips to the well, since most of the city doesn't have running water.

I am not sure what CBC stands for, but yes I did receive an email informifng me I was accepted before the real letter arrived several days later.

so back to my original question...did anyone that got accepted get the CBC (criminal background check) e-mail? What about people on the alternate list, did you guys receive this e-mail as well?

First acceptance today. Previously put on 4 waitlists. Toledo was my last of 5 interviews and it came through for me. (In state, if it matters). Thank god. Congrats to all.

Complete in summer
Pre-interview Rejection received via snail mail 22 fev 2010.

Congrats to those receiving acceptances.

I am a 4th yr at Toledo and my wife and I currently have our condo for sale. It was built in 2001 and is located ~ 10 minutes from the school along the Toledo/ Maumee border.

It has 2 master bedrooms (one has a small 3rd bdrm/ office attached) and a finished basement that has been used as a 3rd bedroom (tons of room and has full bathroom, full closet). Total of 3 full bathrooms, 1 half-bath. All appliances stay.

Our condo has the pool and tennis courts directly behind it (open exclusively to condo owners/ renters) and is located in a very safe/ peaceful neighborhood, many other medical students live within the condo community. Several units are split amongst 3 students (~$500/month/person), making for a very reasonable price for an excellent place to live.

We actually bought ours from previous medical students who included a 1-yr home warranty, as are we. We are very much willing to negotiate on the price.

If you want more information, pictures, etc feel free to send me a PM. Again congrats on your acceptance- Toledo has been a great place for med school.

Just wanted to give a little bump to this thread! Getting excited about my interview in a couple weeks!

I have a relative who is renting a four bedroom house in Maumee across from the Heatherdowns Country Club. Medical students and pets are welcome. PM me if you would like info on the house.

I have an interview this week at UT. Can someone please tell me if they interviewing for ONLY the waitlist at this point, or if they are still accepting candidates as well?

How did it go?

Sooo....I think the interview went well. Surely unlike any interview I have been on so far. My first interviewer was VERY expressionless! However, he mainly asked questions about my activities and was very impressed with my letters of recommendation. My second interviewer seemed a little rushed. She was really nice though. Overall it seemed as though they were really just trying to get to know me. I think I did a good job but I guess you never really know.

I liked the school as well. There was a lot of construction going on which made me a little nervous when it comes to taking tests but the students said that faculty will quickly tell them to be quiet!! 😉

Wait time = 6 weeks....

Hi All,
Do you think there is still hope for an interview in UT or the game is over?

I called them a couple of weeks ago to see about my application status and the lady told me that my application was still under review for an interview and that there were still some other people in the same boat as me.

She said they should know by mid March :xf:

Received an invite to interview today... thought I was out of it! Any chance I'm interviewing for an open spot or is this just for the waitlist?

I interviewed on the 11th and they said they offer spots on every interview day.
