This was my second time applying, and this time, I received one of the early decision offers on 9/28. I couldn't be more excited!

Good luck to you all.

Congratulations! Doesn't look like they've sent out any regular acceptances yet. I'm on the edge of my lab stool.... 😳

ACCEPTED!!!! I got home from class, got the mail, had a bunch of junk mail and in the middle was a envelope from Brody. I was worried it could be a rejection but it felt a little too thick to just be one piece of paper saying thank you for applying but you are rejected. YAY!!!! So excited!

Congratulations Armywife
Do you mind me asking where you live, or the general vicinity?? I'm asking because I'm praying that maybe my mail hasn't gotten to me. 😳

Enjoy the moment and more 👍👍👍

Congratulations Armywife! It was definitely one of the greatest days of my life when I opened that letter. Enjoy the excitement. I guess I'll see you next Fall!

Does anyone know where students do their 3rd year rotations? I can't find it on the website and I've forgotten what they told us. I wrote it down, but my three year old son has decided to hide my notebook somewhere. Do they do them all at PMCH or other places as well?? Can you do most of them at PMCH if you want to?

Does anyone know what the ADCOM schedule is like for invites/notifications?

I know the admissions office said they update the site for the number interviewed and accepted on the 1st and 15th of every month, so I would assume around that time.

Was marked complete yesterday and invited for an interview today! I am super excited about the invitation and can't wait to go interview!

I am also a re-applicant

The Brody website says they've given out 5 acceptances...wonder who got the lucky invites

Where exactly do you find that information on their website? I have searched and can not fine it!

On the admissions site there is a purple box that says entering class 2011 updates, click on it! 🙂

Hopefully this week the number of acceptances will pick up (and there will be one in my mailbox) ! 😀

Do you guys think we will get something in the mail this week? I interviewed in September, what's taking so long!!!!???

No news is good news my friend....I think you can call and see if your file has been reviewed (if you haven't already). Waiting is the worst part... but good luck!

Is no news really good news??? I wish.............

I interview Thursday, so I guess I'm a little more optimistic... but look at it this way... if they've reviewed your file at least once and didn't toss it... I would think that means they think you're worth at least another look...

Relax, when I interviewed they said that very very few people were accepted at the first review and that most of us wouldn't hear until around christmas time. According to their website as of October 31st only 17 offers have been given, and I know five of them were early assurance and early decision so only 12 acceptances have gone out for regular applicants..... Hopefully you guys will be getting a letter this week!! 🙂 Good luck and hope to see you next year! :luck:

good luck on your interview!! when were you complete?

just as an update.. I interviewed the last week of september, and ms. coward said I would likely hear something within the next 3 weeks. maybe this provides a little perspective if you are playing the waiting game with me!! 🙂

Did anyone else get an email for the supplemental application after they already interviewed? Then 3 minutes later got an email apologizing and saying it was sent in error? I was just wondering if someone else received these emails?

They updated their site looks like they gave out 2 more acceptances on the 15th....

Is it bad that I haven't even heard anything about an interview yet? I submitted my secondary way back in October, I think, and haven't heard anything except an accidental e-mail offering me a secondary application (again), followed by a brief retraction.

Thoughts?

In the exact same boat you are, trying to stay sane and not worry too much but the waiting is torture!!!!

Did you get the complete email after submitting your secondary? If not, you should call and ask if they have received everything (Secondary, fee, and LOR's).

I was accepted in late September and still got the email about the secondary application.

Interviewed 10/13, got the acceptance letter 11/20!

Re-applicant, 3.82 cGPA, 30R MCAT

Good luck to everyone still waiting! :luck:

Congratulations jagonzo!!! :claps: This must be a fantastic weekend for you👍
Isn't it kind of strange to know that you were one of the "2 offers".

Thanks so much! Not even the $50 parking ticket some officer left on my windshield can spoil this weekend! I greeted it with a shrug. I'm on Cloud 9.

2 offers? Wow...

I'm wishing this same kind of weekend for all of you!!! (sans the parking ticket.) :xf: I'm thinking of you all now because I know how hard the waiting is (especially after last year's "waitlist" status for another school). Good luck! It WILL happen!

That doesn't exactly mesh with what we were told. I interviewed on October 7, and Dr. Peden told us that we could hear something by Thanksgiving, but that we shouldn't leave there thinking we would hear by Thanksgiving.

He said that their goal was to have about half the class offered by the end of the year - even stated that last year, they had exactly 39 offers out on December 31.

Dr. Peden told us all to pick a date in May (graduation, Mother's Day, etc.), and if we didn't hear by then, to call them.

I know it doesn't help any of our nerves, but I don't want anyone to stress because they haven't heard anything yet.

Congrats to those accepted! I hope we all hear good news soon.

This is very consistent with what I heard too.

Thats what I was told too at my interview. And seeing as there have been very few acceptances given out I'm pretty sure that is the case. They take their time and usually like to review applications more than once before making a final decisions.

Accepted!

For those that want to know...
Complete: 9/1
Interview Invite: 9/3
Interview: 9/23
Accepted: 11/20

I am a third time re-applicant and was waitlisted last year. I re-took the MCAT this summer and did pretty well, so anything is possible!

Interviewed 10/11 and received the letter in the mail today. This is my first acceptance so I am pumped!

For those interested, my stats are: 33Q, 3.76c, 4.00

I'm a non traditional student with about 2 years of research experience, but not a lot in direct patient care (other than volunteering). I was initially worried because though I really clicked with the first person I interviewed with, my second interview wasn't stellar. It felt more like I was reciting my application again than having a conversation.

Good luck to everyone waiting! I know how nerve wracking it is waiting for the first offer letter, so I hope you guys hear some news soon.

Its good to see people are hearing back so quick!

I just interviewed on Thursday and had a wonderful experience at the school.

I'm a little nervous that my MCAT will keep me out (I have a 29 (10,10,9) with a 3.72 science and 3.66 cGPA), but I've worked really hard to improve every other part of my application.

Hopefully I'll hear something by February or March... Best of luck everyone!

I think their average MCAT is a 29 or 30. I can't imagine a 29 MCAT (especially with a 10/10/9 breakdown) would keep you out.

Well like I said I interviewed late September, so if you went later they might have told you something slightly different. I remember Dr. Peden saying we'd most likely hear by Christmas but not to panic if not until later. I think because I was so early they're trying to ease my nerves a bit, but in order to fill half the class they are going to have to do some serious movement in December, they're only halfway to the halfway mark right now and from what I know of last years' update, the numbers jumped the second week in December which is consistent with what Ms. Coward told me. Pardon the run on sentence but I hope this clears things up a bit. 🙂

Dunno if your question was ever answered, but I asked about this in my interview. He told me that most of the third year rotations are done in Pitt County Hospital. He also said a lot of their rotations sites in the state are in rural areas.
