As for Tucson, when I called them earlier today, they said that acceptances had in fact been sent out yesterday and that the next wave will be in mid-January. Still waiting... Congrats to all who have been accepted so far, and good luck to everyone waiting to hear back!!

Ouch. Ok well congrats at least to those who were accepted, if you are out there in SDN-land, and enjoy your breaks to all still waiting. Good luck, see ya on the flip side - officially logging off SDN until the New Year! 🙂

I think someone made a mistake because I've just heard from a lab partner that acceptances went out (sometime around 4p)and I can see new names on the student website that is updated for accepted students to see...

I do know they had interviews today, which might be why someone said they were happening? Originally, I wanted to visit campus again, but Tara said students were on break and today they'd be interviewing, so a "revisit" wouldn't be good.

Yeah, we get back on January 3rd, so try to come sometime after that. It's definitely better to do a revisit then because you can come to some lectures with us, then lunch, etc. Plus then all of us students can answer your questions while you experience "a day in the life", you know? 🙂

Fingers crossed for all of us! I've interviewed at a couple places but still waiting for that first acceptance. It would certainly help me be able to focus on holiday festivities a bit more instead of constantly worrying about going back to full-time at a job I loathe when I finish grad school in May... 😱

I'm in the same boat. I've been working 3 jobs since I finished grad school last December, and I would definitely prefer to be back in school! Going to med school would be alot of work too, but I know it's going to be incredibly fun as well.

I'm very skeptical of the individual who claims Tucson said they sent out acceptances on the 16th, as no one has spoken up to say they were accepted. (especially given that UA tends to accept the largest numbers in the first 2-3 waves).

actually, the last waves are by far the largest; i think the ones in december only release 10-15 spots each. regardless, i too am dubious since each one of phoenix's waves so far has hailed at least one acceptance on sdn.

edit: they found out Friday morning, email was dated Thursday night 12/16.

Tucson does Friday announcements, so 14 Jan is the next one if I recall correctly.

I'm pretty sure I had heard that decisions were due today for announcements to be sent tomorrow.

Phoenix- this is correct because ive been counting down the days next ones after tomorrow are 31 Jan and 11 Feb.

You really think that not a single one of us got in today? I mean, it's possible, but it seems like there has been at least one acceptance posted on here on every acceptance day...except today. I'm thinking (or hoping as it were, haha) that they are just behind because of the holiday. 🙂

Makes me question the situation, but you know... being a paranoid pre-med means I have to exaggerate! lol I hope they are delayed, but that is one thing that would really surprise me - One of the things I really liked about this school was that they were totally on top of their game.

At my interview, Tara stated that the committee met next(as of Dec 6th) on January 3rd and that emails would be sent out around 4:30 the following day. They would then meet every 2 weeks thereafter and send emails the day after their meetings.

Neither campus is releasing every other Friday.

But there is discussion above about the Phoenix schedule being delayed by holidays.... sigh, so confused... they shouldn't play with our emotions like this....

Well, Phx was releasing every other Friday from October up through the holidays. Perhaps they've shifted gears in the new year.

Hopefully this can alleviate some of the confusion here. I wrote the following down verbatim off of Tara's presentation at the end of my interview day.

Admissions Committee will have decisions for acceptances rendered on the following dates: Jan 3, 13, 29; Feb 10, 24. Acceptances will be released on Jan 4, 14, 31; Feb 11, 25. March 1 will be the release of final decision: accept/waitlist/reject. Movement on waitlist not expected prior to April 15.

I called them in late afternoon and the person I talked to said she wasnt sure that they will be releasing acceptances today and they will do it by the end of the week for sure. But I am not sure how valid that is. The last time I called them and the information they gave me was inconsistent with what everyone else stated here.

i sure hope this is the case. the adcom was supposed to meet yesterday but seeing that it was the first day back from the holiday, im hoping they are just delayed.

i was thinking of doing it this week. how are you going to present them? written description or a printout of the grades on a webpage?
