Oh wow! I thought we might hear on the 11th?! You heard tomorrow?
Oops! It is the 11th, not the 8th. I knew the 8th was significant, but that is because it's my payday, not because it is a release date. Sorry everyone!

Hi everyone!
New member, loooooong-time lurker (4-years long) 😀 Great to meet everyone!
I had a question: I am interviewing at the Phoenix campus next Monday (14th). I've become painfully aware that this is a late interview date, at this point would I be interviewing for a wait-list spot? Or do I have a legitimate shot?
Also, being an MMI, I'm very nervous - it sounds stressful! I've done some internet 'research' and asked my advisor about them, but I still don't feel like I'm ready to tackle this.Any last-minute pointers?
Thanks everyone! And congrats to all the acceptances!
from what i understood from my interview the people on the 14th still are interviewing for a spot and not just a waitlist spot.
Good luck, and have fun with mmi
Dear fellow applicants, I thought you might be interested to know that Tucson just sent out acceptances, one of which I received a few minutes ago! That is all.
when did you interview??
October 5th (or thereabouts). IS/3.75/34R, graduate degree in molecular biology, teaching experience, tons of research, very little volunteering, excellent letters of rec. Congratulations to anyone else who got accepted (I presume there were quite a few), and good luck to everyone else! I understand there are still many spots to give, so stay positive 🙂
Congrats, what kind of grad degree do you have (MS or PhD?) and where is it from?
Do they send them out all at once or throughout the afternoon?

i think everyone gets it. All of my friends that have gotten in received the $1500.
Did anyone else get the $1500 renewable tuition scholarship? It's chum change in the bigger scheme of things, but I'm not complaining.
Did you get accepted today?
Yup.
When was your interview?
So is the next batch from Tucson just going to be the wl/reject list?
Congratulations to those accepted! I hope to either see you come fall semester as a fellow matriculate or alternatively, you get accepted to another school you view as your top choice opening up slots for us aiming for UofA as first choice =)
Some statistics from UofA (TUS & PHX together) that might help people breath easier concerning the previous matriculated class.
Average GPA Selected 3.70
Average MCAT 29.09
73 Students from the alternate list were accepted
Hope this helps ease some minds.
Aren't Phoenix letters supposed to be sent out today as well?
I didn't even realize I should have been nervously checking my e-mail yesterday! No acceptance for me, yet. 1 wave down, 3 to go!
What do you mean 3 to go? I hear Tucson only has one left before waitlist and rejections go out. You hear otherwise?

No, you're right, only one to go for Tucson. But two left for Phoenix, I believe. So 3 in total for both campuses.
This is heart breaking.

I don't think I have it in me to apply a fourth time. I can't keep watching the years fly by with no career. Oh well, I have a Master's degree, community college faculty position here I come. 🙄 In any case, let's at least get some more SDNers in at these two schools...good luck to all for these final rounds!![]()
I dont think you should give up if you dont get accepted this year. There is still enough time for you to apply for Caribbean. You can still practice medicine with a degree from there.
I wish University of Arizona just reviewed applicants as they interviewed, saving us these long months of extremely unpleasant waiting. I interviewed in September...
