My friend told me he was accepted yesterday...he was #49 on the WL...
Nevermind, after 20 minutes of constant refreshing I'm in! Can't wait to see you guys there in the fall! And I hope for good news for you all soon!
Congratulations, man! It's good to know your e-mail refresh skills have paid off.
I called yesterday around 4:30pm and the person I talked to said they were at #49. She was off by at least one (since we know medgolfer was accepted) but the waitlist definitely seems to have slowed down.
Hopefully it will start moving a little more soon.
10 weeks is plenty of time for waitlist movement.
You're right. It's just hard to wait for so long, and then have the waitlist get so close to my number, but not actually reach it yet.
Also, work is slow which is leaving me more time to stare at my inbox and will e-mails to pop up. I can't start any new projects since I'm leaving soon, so things are kind of starting to wind down.
Concerning Phoenix: Tara Cunningham said yesterday that Phoenix has to fill 4 positions. I would assume they have already done that on the waitlist. That is not to say there wont be anymore movement, but she did say that there has been very little movement this year. It seemed like they arent expecting very much movement.

When do we get a new fancy waitlist graph 🙂
She never really made the distinction. It sounded more like they only had to fill 4 spots up to now. But, she did not make it clear. It could be that they are still trying to fill 4 spots, but I am not sure.Do you know if that meant there were 4 seats to fill as of yesterday? Or that they only had 4 seats open up that have been filled by waitlisted students? In the event that it is scenario 1, did she mention when the Adcom would meet to fill those seats?
Thanks for sharing the info and gluck to you!
Congratulations!! I hope to see you there (I am a little further on in the Waitlist)Well, the waitlist has reached at least #56....cause I'M IN!!!!!! Can't wait to start looking at apartments and making final plans to move to sunny Tucson, AZ!
oh boy. oh boy. oh boy. oh boy. oh boy. oh boy.

Anyway, as you can see we are still tracking with last year's numbers for the most part. By 5/21/10 last year, the waitlist was at #55, so you can see that 2011 has seen more waitlist movement (It might look like there was more movement last year, but that is only because the purple line for 2011 only extends to exactly where the last data point is. I promise there is a tiny purple triangle under there!)
Hopefully we'll continue this trend and see the waitlist go up higher than last year!

Accepted! Let the good times keep on rollin'!
Congratulations everyone!! I used to think there was no way they'd get to 73 but now I have a little more hope...![]()
