I believe the due date is about 6 or 7 weeks after you receive the request. The specific date should be on your status check page (on top of the table and under your applicant info). It should say "Your online forms are due on: x/x/xxxx."

Do I have any chance of getting an interview let alone getting accepted?

you have a chance...but to tell you the truth, many people with those stats(and even higher) get rejected every year(and they are IS)

I don't think residency carries any weight. From the UCLA admissions website - http://www.medstudent.ucla.edu/offices/admiss/admreq.cfm

"Residence: No preference is given to state of residence. However many applicants come from California. Acceptees from California are more likely to matriculate at UCLA. Out of 145 freshman, 85 percent were from California."

Well I interviewed at UCLA a couple of cycles ago with a 30N/3.2/IS and ended up being waitlisted. So I guess it's possible.

their Email system was down. from now on ppl should be able to get email at least for confirmation of interview dates. I talked to the coordinator and he was surprised that i never received any Email. A couple of days later I got the confirmation Email that was supposed to be sent out 4 days ago. Guess they fixed it. ughhh im super worried about the MMI now >.<

I submitted my AMCAS on Sep 10th, recvd the Medical School Application Receipt email from UCLA but haven't heard a word from them since then. I called them twice and they said that my application has not yet been seen by the adcom!!

anybody else facing such a scenario.
Can we have a short survey here; Pls post the date your received the receipt email and the date you were invited to complete the secondary; and the date of invitation for interview, if any. Thank you all!

I wouldn't worry. I submitted my AMCAS on 6/1 was verified on 6/3 and didn't receive UCLA's secondary until 11/3. Its a long process, but there certainly is still hope...

I don't know how many invites have gone out, but I did hear that they only just started seriously interviewing last week (with MMI's, student tours, etc). So I don't necessarily think it's time to panic yet. It's hard, but there's no reason not to stick to "the no news is good news" mantra.

I interviewed last week, and they said we were part of the first week of interviews for MD applicants. Don't worry too much if you haven't heard back yet, they still have a lot of people to interview.

As for the MMI, its not that bad, some of it is actually fun, so don't stress too much. And for anyone interested they mentioned that we wouldn't be hearing from them again until Jan 15th.

They received my primary late-July, and I still haven't heard back whether or not I get a secondary!! Do they send out pre-secondary rejections? Or do they just never send you one? I doubt I'll get one at this stage...

Wow! It seems like many people have gotten interview invites recently. I got mine last week on Friday 11/5 and my interview is on 11/15. I submitted my secondary back in early august. I'm excited about this interview. UCLA is my top choice school. I went there as an undergrad and so did my brothers. It's a whole family dynamic for UCLA. lol!
If anyone has already had their interview at UCLA please share the whole MMI experience. Thanks!!

Stats: IS cGPA 3.89 MCAT 37P complete on 11/02/10 (late, i know...)

My school costs money for official transcripts, so I'm not too inclined to order one if it's not needed before the interview🙁 I didn't save the message from the interview invite either, so correct me if my memory fails me 😀

I fortunately DID save my message and it says to send them official transcripts as soon as possible. Hope that helps 👍

We spent thousands of dollars on app fees and flights for interviews, an extra 5 or 10 bucks shouldn't be a big deal.

I am pretty sure it does not strictly go by date. Reading upthread, it seems that a lot of people who were complete after me (late July) got invites sooner than me.

Then there is the intriguing case of the two UCLA students who interviewed wayy back when, on September 1.

What do you think the latest is that I can interview without really hurting my chances? I know UCLA has rolling admissions, but ideally (because of other commitments) I'd want to interview sometime during the first whole week in January (3rd - 7th). Is that starting to get too late?
