DrBOshkosh26,
Here's what I've concluded. REL said they will interview around 350 people this season. There are 80 seats available. They are, at the present time, only going to accept a number of people equal to the number of seats, and of this group, they'll accept 7 every two weeks until they hit 80 or finish interviewing in the second week of April. So, provided nobody drops his or her seat before this time, they will have accepted 80 of the 350, leaving 270 people on the waitlist. That means there are 270 people left divided into six ranked groups, or 45 people per group. REL indicated that the average rate of acceptance:matriculation in Florida is around 2:1, though UCF has been a little below average. Still, using the 2:1 ratio, that means they will probably accept another 80 people before orientation. That basically requires everyone in the top sixth to be accepted, as well as the majority of the lower half of the top third (2nd sixth). However, to complicate things, the list is dynamic, because they are constantly accepting from the top third, which guarantees that after interviews are over that your overall ranking will steadily increase until they stop accepting people. I hope this helps, I've thought it through because I'm in the same boat as many of you, hoping for the call (Next ad com meeting thurs!).
Good luck!
