Is this for continued students??
Can any current students that have lived/will live in Regents get in touch with me about that? Do most students that live there drive, or is it possible to walk/ride a bike? Or do most people do public transit? I would imagine that'd be pretty brutal during the winter. Also, is it possible to afford a 1BR (~$1200/mo) over a studio (~$900/mo) on the budget Pritzker uses for financial aid?
You can PM me or reply here. Thanks in advance!
Anyone know how often people get accepted off of the continued list?
Is there anything I can do to increase my chances?
Should I send a letter of interest? Can I do this via email? Sorry about all of the questions lol.
Hi everyone:
For those who are coming to the revisit but didn't see this, we recently recorded an episode on the revisit details: http://pritzkerpodcast.com/2011/03/11/42-pritzker-revisit/

any love for continued students?
what does it mean at this point if I am not continued but not accepted or rejected?? I interviewed early January, and no news. gah.

That happened with me too, but then I called the admissions office and asked. They told me I am continued...even though there was and still is no status change on the website.
what's the dress code for second look?
It's addressed in the most recent podcast. I think it's all casual with the exception of 1) anything in the hospital(s) and 2) maybe the Saturday night dinner. I don't know for sure, though.
Yep, casual while keeping in mind that you'll be interacting not only with students but with faculty and that we'll be at a sports bar-ish place on Friday night and a fancier Italian place on Saturday night. So, definitely no ties/suits/jackets, but also no flip-flops/shorts/grungy t-shirts. Something in between.
Excited to meet you guys at revisit next weekend!

Anyone getting in on Thursday night? 🙂
For all the people who went: how was Second Look?
Yeah I was wondering the same thing unfortunately I couldn't make it this weekend. Any more feedback on second look?
On a side note looks like Cole has decided where he's going....

The weekend was probably one of the best weekends I have had in a while. For me what was most important was seeing the potential students there. Cole is right in that all the information at second look you could find online.
Overall I left Pritzker excited at having the opportunity to spend 4 years with students that were not only intelligent but outgoing, social, and just fun as well. O I also left pretty nauseated and hung over too....haha
If the social atmosphere is anything like revisit weekend, I think everyone that chooses to attend pritzker is going to have a blast.

Man...I wish I could have joined you guys. At least we had some nice weather in Chicago this weekend! 😎
Speaking of longing for 😍Pritzker😍--has anyone heard of any movement on the continued list recently?
Hi Everyone!
It is so great to hear all the positive responses from Revisit. It was great meeting all of you and seeing some of the faces of MS15! I am so happy you guys had fun this weekend. Once again, I want to emphasize that this can be whatever you want to make of it, so never limit your own options.
For those of you who weren't able to attend, don't despair! I wasn't accepted at Pritzker until after revisit, but completely happy here and haven't had any issues.
Once more, thanks for coming out and spending the weekend with us!
so when is the facebook site going to be set up??![]()
Hey guys! Congrats on the acceptances! I'm applying this year and have been following this thread every now and again. Pritzker is my top choice for many reasons.
My numbers are not competitive, 29Q, 3.57cgpa, 3.57sgpa. I know that Pritzker says they're "not a numbers school" but in my experience I've seen that to mean "numbers aren't everything" meaning you have to have excellent scores + rock everything else. I see folks like Cole and think there's no way in h*ll I'll ever be considered. I'd like to think I have great ECs, have overcome a lot of disadvantages, etc, and have the makings of a great app, except for those scores.
So, does the 'not a numbers school' thing go both ways? If I am a good fit will they consider me despite my lower scores or should I just forget about it, go to my state school, and hope to come to Chicago for residency?
Thanks for any input and sorry for hijacking your thread! Feel free to PM me if you prefer. Good luck everyone and congrats again to everyone who made it in this cycle! You rock!

As calvnandhobbs68 said, you'll have a very difficult time getting in, unless you retake the MCAT and do significantly better. But you might as well try if it's your dream school 👍.
On a side note, I took a quick look at your MDApps profile and it seems that you aren't planning on applying to any safety schools because you'd be happy at KU anyway. If there's one thing I've learned this cycle is that nothing is ever even remotely close to a guarantee, even your state school, so I'd really suggest you add some more mid-tier schools. Good luck!!!!
Just by a quick look at your numbers, I'd say you have very little chance of getting in. When Chicago says they aren't a "numbers" school they mean just what you said...you have to have stuff in addition to solid numbers not in place of them. Your GPA is below their 10th percentile of accepted applicants and your MCAT score is 3 points below their 10th percentile. I have the feeling you're going to get screened out on MCAT score alone.

Of the 20 schools I applied to, the one that I considered the safety of all safeties, I was rejected. It's OK, I really didn't want to go there and I have offers and waitlists at multiple top 20 schools. Nothin' is ever even remotely "safe" when is comes to applying to med school.
Thanks guys! I really appreciate it, especially the advice about not thinking of KU as a safety. I updated my mdapps to include up to 14 schools (the total allowed with the fee waiver) including more mid-tier programs. I wish I could retake the MCAT but there's little opportunity here in rural West Africa! If I don't get in anywhere, this will be the first thing I do to strengthen my app, though. Thanks again and good luck!
