Just got back from interview this week and they told us that they have started accepting people for the class of 2016. They will start sending the snail mail (thin envelopes) either this week or the next. They expect to accept 240 to fill their 121 spots as early as possible so decisions are rolling after the first batch comes out. Good luck ppl.

Do you know if we'll see the update on our status before we get the snail mail?

Thanks, seaberg89 and Ironclad!! That was super helpful 🙂

Wait a minute... Doesnt that 240 number include the people who are accepted off waitlist as well?

I just received the secondary. Is it worth filling out and submitting this late in the process?

Last year they accepted 187 students into their class according to the MSAR. Is there a reason why this year's class is so much smaller?

Hmmm. Is the 121 including PRIME, Drew, Haider?

Thats incorrect, last year 187 matriculated, not accepted

congrats on the secondary - did you submit your primary later in the season? imo submit it no doubt. its just a few bucks, you (hopefully) only apply to medical school once in a lifetime, and they gave you a shot.

I actually sent my application in July, but this would be my third time applying( which I just found out was discouraged). So I decided to send in the secondary, I hope I have better luck this time.

So who else has been compulsively checking their status for an update on the Final Decision Letter status?

Heres a question for current and former UCLA undergrads

Go log into the ashe website, then click forms on the left hand side. Do you guys see this show up at the top?

Before you begin your studies at UCLA you must complete certain online requirements, including:

Ashe Center Consent to Treatment
Ashe Center Privacy Notice
Counseling and Psychological Services Informed Consent
Counseling and Psychological Services Privacy Practices
UCLA Professional Schools (Dental, Medicine, Nursing, Social Welfare) Health Clearance

It might not mean anything, but i was just curious, maybe it means those of us who interviewed are accepted =). heres the link if youre lazy:

I have it too, but I don't think it means anything.

I don't usually post, but just for the people still waiting for interview invites. I just got one today! I was complete a while back. So I think they are still giving out interviews. Best of luck to everyone!

I don't think anyone cares about your posting habits. Go **** yourself

I went to UCLA for undergrad but have yet to interview and I also have it.

I hope you don't go around taking your frustration on people. If we are in the same class and you have that attitude, you'd get a reasonable response. 😉

Let's keep things positive fellas, it's a harsh application cycle for a lot of us, no need for bad vibes.

^ I'm embarassed at my previous posts. My apologies for the disrespect.

Quite honestly, I am very embarrassed on your behalf for representing my culture in this way. That person's post you criticized was mostly to inform others that there is still hope since UCLA is still interviewing. Not only do you need to apologize to the people on this thread (which you have done), but I hope you are/have already written a PM to that person you insulted.

I hope you have something more positive to contribute in the future.

Ton of respect to you for being willing to apologize. Anyways, I'm sure there will be good news from UCLA sooner or later, so let's look forward to that and keep it positive.

I called the office today, the lady said no one will receive their acceptances til the end of the month, and even then, its for a very tiny, tiny group of people. So dont get too anxious like i was before today. Lol. Imguessing the acceptances are gonna be for the september interviewees

Boo.

Is anyone else STILL waiting on UCLA for a secondary invite?? I haven't heard anything from UCLA since I was complete in September.

An interview here would literally humble me and complete my life.

Likewise....my birthday is in a few days....it would be the greatest birthday gift everrrrrrrrrrrrrrr:xf::luck:

still waiting for a secondary as well. since june...
Also, I was at UCLA for undergrad. maybe UCLA has something against UCLA grads?

it's so frustrating how long ucla takes! i'm from southern california, so applied to ucla even though i was expecting a rejection. i'm just curious why they haven't even rejected me yet! any one know if they have already started rejecting post-secondary, pre-interview already, or do they wait until march-ish?
