Haha sorry, I didn't mean to fear monger. I'm just a negative nancy. But I'm choosing to believe illegible. :xf:

Received the acceptance email earlier today! Shocked but super excited!!! Good luck to everyone waiting to hear back.

You know it's tense when 17 guests and 19 members are viewing the thread.

I wonder if one of those guests is on the admissions staff. If i was one of them, i would totally watch the forums when acceptances are being sent out. 😛

Ah crap 🙁 I have a bad feeling about an email coming this afternoon... Let's hope it's not like last year's process. Hopefully they have more acceptances to send out. Best of luck to everyone

I'm starting to wish I didn't check this thread today...Maybe ignorance sometimes really is bliss!
Congrats to everyone who got accepted today though!!

Im just hoping they don't do what Duke did to me last year. Acceptances went out one day, wl/rejections the next so you knew if you didn't get an email the first day, you were outta luck.

C'mon CU! I really need an acceptance. I don't want to move to PA with my mom going through chemo... 🙁

Well, it's officially after 5 MST...guess we're SOL

So I walked over to the admissions office to ask them if today was "the day". The lady was very nice, but somewhat cryptic and wouldn't give me any dates for rejections/wait lists. All she told me was that March 31st was the final possible day, which we already knew. I got the impression that the committee still has acceptances to give out and is still deliberating about waitlists/rejections. Maybe in a couple of weeks we can look forward to those coming out.

I also found out that if you reapply they are doing MMI interviews next year.

EDIT: ...for my sanity and yours, can someone get Gandalf on the line so we can get some definitive answers.

BOOM! Accepted today. Can't wait to get started and meet you guys. Interviewed 1/14. Best leap year ever.

Awesome thank you for checking for us.

It seems like there is a general trend towards MMIs these days. The one I participated in was not my favorite interview...

Accepted today!

The email said, "Within two weeks of receiving this offer you are required to submit a signed University of Colorado School of Medicine contract and the Verification of Colorado Residency form."

So maybe today's acceptances were for IS?

ACCEPTEd. so excited i cried! I love CU! Good luck to the rest of you still waiting! Hope the wait will be short!

Can't wait to meet some of you!

🙂 🙂 🙂

I'm ready to cry. 🙁 CU is the only school I really want to go to, I just want to stay in-state. Please please please let there be more acceptances going out...

I'm in the same boat mighty. I was wait listed last year, really thought this was my year.

Is CU particularly known to be hippie granola? I don't know the stereotypes, yet. Just wanna know how I'll be characterized. 🙂

Hahaha. The undergrad campus in Boulder has a huge smokeout every year on 4/20. Something like 10,000 people show up. I live in Boulder and there are medical marijuana dispensaries every half mile at least.

Massive congratulations to everyone who got accepted today 🙂 This has to be a great feeling for you all.

For those still waiting (us included) umm.... yeah.... waiting is the hardest part right? Keep those fingers crossed

Congratulations to all the latest admits! Looking forward to meeting you!

I think Dr. Winn said the phrase 'hippie granola' at least five times during his interview introduction speech in October. Maybe he changed his tune recently?

I think he was referring to the collaborative feel of the medical campus and contrasting it to other academic medical centers that might be more cutthroat. He's completely right from my experience- I work here but have spent a significant amount of time out east and the feel is palpably different. Yes, I can walk to plenty of weed stores if I wanted to get my card, but CU SOM is far from being full of patchouli-scented, dread-wearing, nitrous mafia wookies.

So, what does silence mean at this point?

Seems like there was a 'big acceptance' day, but no corresponding 'big rejection sadface' one. I can only feel that silence isn't hopeful anymore. Congratulations to everybody who got a decision! The wait is killing me.

Well I haven't been rejected yet, which is nice. So I guess I'm just hanging in limbo with you.

I'm still hoping, but who knows. 🙂 Congrats to all those accepted!
