Yeah, I submitted it around the first week I was able to, which was something like early August? And I got all the confirmations and stuff I expected to. Then in January I got an email saying "We'd love for you to fill out the secondary you started before the deadline!"......needless to say I was slightly disappointed by that. I called and they promptly put my file in the "complete" pile, and I never heard from them again. It's okay though - I was accepted at Columbia, so that fills my NY quota.

Also, I agree, NYU's wait was pretty bad too.Having said that, looking through the thread it seemed like they made an effort to let people know as soon as they knew, which was nice.

I don't know why I'm working myself up about this. 😕 But every time I hear the email tone on my phone, I "ouuuuuiiiit" (gag and vomit in my mouth a little). :laugh:
 
Well if our inside source has it right, tomorrow is D-day ... Queue dramatic music...

music2doc seems pretty confident, apparently from a reliable source.

I don't really know though. However, if we don't hear anything by tomorrow, I'm going with my alternative hypothesis that Colorado has cut their class size in half this year and isn't taking anyone else, but isn't telling anyone in order to screw with us.
 
To be fair to Colorado, it just sort of hit me that some of this pain and strife is self inflicted. If I weren't aware of this website, I would probably be less stressed or feeling passed up in general. I would still be a bit anxious to hear right now, but it wouldn't be the same kind of thing.

Oh the pain and strife is totally self-inflicted. We are a bunch of (at least partially) neurotic pre-meds. But at the same time, I can't blame us for wanting to know what the next four years of our lives will hold...:xf:
 
being OOS I almost feel bad for Colorado by how unattractive the school can suddenly appear after hearing the tuition rate for our unlucky, OOS souls. $58g's for tuition alone is blood curdling, and a hard mental hurdle to overcome. Obviously it relies upon their state funding, which is abysmal for it being the only allopathic school in the state. It's just a damn shame, cause I love Denver, and the facilities of the school were quite nice. However, that being said, I'm not too anxious for the decision as I couldn't begin to justify the cost.

Haha... it's possible my source was off by a day. His words were, "If you haven't heard back from us yet, you'll hear on March 15." He said the same thing to an advisor about students who were wanting to hear: "It's not even March 15 yet! Just tell them to wait a week."

Last I checked, March 15 is today... but, honestly, they're just busy in Admissions. I would guess they are simply a little behind.
 
Waiting since September here too! Still my first choice. Fingers crossed for all of us.

Also, the Buffs win....sick!!!!! As a side note, CU Boulder is not affiliated with the Med School. In fact, the Med school (Affiliated with CU Denver) took votes for possible mascots a couple months back. Here are the 15 choices. Harvester ants would be lame, Stegosaurus would be sweet! Although I still think a benzene ring would be pretty awesome. lol

yeah, i got that one right too, but the UNLV one really hurt me cuz i had them winning in the next round...

and stegasaurus? lol, a little out there for mascots. Obviously CU Denver should be the Bison so Denver knows phylogeny and binomial nomenclature better than Boulder.

Seriously, another week?! Get you act together and make some decisions! If you weren't my only hope I would totally reject you just for being lame and dragging this out. However, since you are in fact my only hope, let me rephrase that a little bit: Hey CU, I know you're doing a great job picking the incoming class. I hope you really take your time in making such an important decision. The longer you take to evaluate each candidate, the better the class will be and the more everyone will thank you for picking people who are the perfect fit.👍 You rock, and I love you. 😍

Haha... true.... I think it would depend upon which officer you spoke to. I won't mention any names, but yours sounded more like one and mine the other.... :laugh:

Right there with you. Despite my best attempts, this is influencing my opinion of the school. Not in an empirical way since I fundamentally understand (or think I do) the problem, but now thinking about CU doesn't get me excited, it just gives me a headache.

I don't think it even gives as much info as the 2 typed pages. I'm not sure if every student was shown, and a lot of them don't say what specialty they're going in to - just the place they're going. (Note: I only clicked through it quickly, so I'm sure I missed a lot, and maybe all that info really is in there somewhere, but there appeared to be a lot of time taken up by speeches)
