I have already interviewed and my MEDS page still only says file complete. I don't believe that they update MEDS except for waitlist purposes in the summer.
 
JUST GOT AN INTERVIEW INVITE FOR KU!!

The email was sent yesterday, the 23rd!!! Yay!
 
Does anyone know when they start looking at out of state applications?
 
Yeah, I got mine too.

They are really conditioning us to all the waiting ahead. If we make it this round, we'll have to wait until July, if not then we'll have to wait until January and perhaps March (if hold), then July (if alternate list).

Having said that... 3 more days 😱

Who else is waiting to hear something today? This is possibly the most anxious and nervous I have ever been...the suspense is killing me! :xf: Good luck everyone :xf:

Such BS that we may have to wait till the end of the day (at least the first invite from last year was at the end of the day according to last year's thread)

Didn't get it. Anyone know of the statistics of getting admission with the 2nd interview?

I'm sorry you didn't make it this round, but they should tell you what you need to do to improve your application, and if it is some thing easily fixed, you should have a good shot.

Hi everyone,
I'm currently an M1 at KU right now. I was not accepted early decision last year, but was accepted after my January interview. I know it's frustrating to those who didn't get it, but if anyone has any questions (about anything) I would be happy to answer them. Congrats to those who already got acceptance!
 
Was anyone else an EDP reject last year but got in on the 2nd interview? Mind chiming some advice in hurrrr? I'm just trying to figure out what I can fix by the time interviews roll around in Jan.

Just did a mock interview today. Interview's next week. Ready to rock.
 
This is minimally helpful, but I'm having a really good time on my away rotation at KU this month. All the attendings I've met (mostly anesthesia but some from the various surgery services) are super nice, and the students I'm working with are quite cool. The hospital is under heavy construction but still seems pretty nice. From my very limited perspective, KU seems like a great place to be. Good luck to you all!

I heard mixed reports about the interviews, so I'm not sure how helpful a report will be. But mine was pretty relaxed, very conversational. And I think it went well. But then again, the way the interview was structured, I'm not sure what could have happened that would have let me walk away feeling like I didn't do well, so eh.
