Same here, 8/19. I was starting to worry because a bunch of people who submitted after me had already gotten interviews.

I was starting to worry too, but its looking like we got the 3rd interview date so we didn't do too shabby :highfive:

I'm IS btw

Woohoo interview invite!

Transmitted late June, OOS from CA, 3.9/3.9 39

Congrats. Those stats would just about do it anywhere I would think 😛

Haha anywhere but very loyal OOS schools like UW and some UTs 🙂

Only 9% of OOS interviewees matriculate though...hopefully the interview to accept ratio is decent. Regardless, I'm excited to check out the island

I mean, it's no California.

Why's that

Unnecessary stress and impatience. Haha- it just seemed like lots of the people who had applied around the time I did had received interviews for one of the first days. Guess I was thinking I had been passed over.

You're doing very well. I hope the next wave or two includes me!

I'm pulling for you too 🙂 I bet you'll be getting them all really quickly. Hopefully this will be a busy invite week!

Awesome! Congrats- you going to the night-before social?

And good luck PHD to MD!

Yup I'm going. I live in the area so I'll be going to school for four days then coming back home for the interview haha. Are you planning on going?

Does anyone know how many applicants are usually present at interview days?

I heard someone throw out 50 not Sure

Glad to hear y'all are getting some invites. I submitted my TMDSAS back in May. Still no invites to any schools yet. At least I got a confirmation from UTMB, SWT, and San Antonio. I am a reapplicant. Went from a 27 MCAT last year to a 30 this year. I hope I get more than one interview this time around.

Nice jump into the 30s! Good luck with everything!

Thanks Dirk, I've been on the SDN sidelines watchin for a few weeks. Time for me to become an active contributor. I do feel a lot better about my application this year. Worst case scenario: I apply a 4th time next year ha.

I love every inch of Spain 😍 But Barca is my favorite city, & I'm watching their team play in Dallas on Aug 6th against club America!

CONGRATS to all the new interviewees! 👍

While trying to find a flight to Houston while they're as cheap as possible, another thing came to mind. I'm sure they do, but does anyone know about shuttle services that run from Hobby to Galveston, and also back to the airport after the interview day (and if so, how often they run)? I'm flying in and am just making sure everything can be taken care of. Thanks for any info!

Thanks BMEN. I'll look for that. Couldn't anything very specific on last year's thread or the airport's website, hopefully prices aren't ridiculous...

i looked at their site, and they dont have return times after our interview ends.

When are y'all's interviews again

I would be too, but it's a 7 1/2 hour drive for me. 15 hours on the road doesn't sound fun haha

Haha! What are the odds... I'll be coming from Abilene, BMEN. Big portion of the drive would be on single-lane highways, too. Bleh.

Figured as much with the distance involved. If it makes you guys feel any better, I have to catch a 6 AM flight the day before from San Diego to Houston to College Station, with a 3 hour drive down. Ill have to be up at 3 to catch my cab to the airport:laugh:

Yikes. Be sure to fit some coffee in there somewhere lol

already do. 3 cups a day ftw

Ill sleep on the plane. Hopefully the nice flight attendant will wake me up:laugh:

I'm driving too. Glad I live in Houston.. only about an hour away lol.. but I do have to come down 2 days before from College Station..

I'm really interested in UTMB but I am a Florida resident and wondering if I should bother with applying to the Texas schools. 3.8/3.9 30 non-trad. I applied early for AMCAS but thinking it's late for Texas to apply in late July.

Why not, it's like 200 to apply to them all. It's a long shot being out of state but it's relatively cheap. IMHO as long as you apply before the deadline there is always a chance.

hey i was wondering. My tmdsas app was transmitted to the schools at the end of june and my letters were recieved by tmdsas july 4th week and i have gotten emails from other schools saying they recieved my stuff but havent gotten anything from utmb. Should i worry or are they just busy?
Thanks!!
