I was complete late July. At this point I'm assuming I've just been unofficially rejected; would that be a fair assumption?

ya same with me.

I don't think so, you guys... I think their interview season is one of the longer, more surprising ones. I very recently got an interview, and I, too, thought I had been silently rejected. 👍

good to hear. definitely haven't lost hope for einstein, but the window is closing. good luck on your interview!!

Anyone know when Einstein will do their next round of acceptances?

Hey DocEinstein and other current students.

Are any of the Service and Research Scholarships substantial?? Like almost full tuition? Or am I dreaming too high?

Anyone know if there will be a high priority wait list this cycle?

Longtime stalker, first-time poster!

Got an II on 2/8, and after calling admissions got it scheduled for 4/29
They noted that they were pretty much booked and that was the only date available as of now. Not sure how much withdraw movement there will be until then, but naturally I want to see if any earlier date opens up!

Complete mid-October, 3.75/32

I got the interview invite on 2/8 and sent Emilia an email saying to book me for the earliest date possible. I am interviewing on Friday Feb 15. When I tried to call her, she just told me to email her. So keep checking for cancellations and earlier openings.

I sent in my secondary in the first week of November. 3.6/35

Ah man, must've missed the boat on Friday! ><
Thanks for the heads up, I'll keep a lookout for any cancellations til then. AECOM looks like a solid school, even better that its in the city

I personally didn't apply but I know others who did and received anywhere from 5-35k a year!
So yea.. Definitely worth applying!

I have a morning interview here On Friday. Can anyone comment on how long they typically last?
Going with the bf and need to tell him how much time to waste while I'm interviewing 🙂

edit: Also, does anyone have any good suggestions for things nearby he can do while I'm interviewing?

This was one of the faster interview days for me. There aren't any group presentations or anything - just the interview, the lunch, the brief tour.

My interview was about a half hour. Yours may or may not be on campus. If it's off-campus, they're arrange a car service or a shuttle for you. Then you'll go to lunch/tour at noon. You're free to leave afterwards. Good luck!

What is the deadline for the service and research scholarship? I'm interviewing in late February so if I were accepted could i still apply?

Is Einstein receptive to letters of interest and updates pre-interview?
If so, who should it be addressed to? Dead or admissions office?

Hey guys, can anyone comment if it is worth it going to Einstein in Manhattan? Did any current students attend it last year?

I went to it last year, it was really nice! It's a great chance to mingle with other accepted students, current students, alumni, and faculty. Plus, it's a super fancy social club and they have good food/drinks. Haha
(I'll be at it again this year as a current student! 🙂

But then again I lived in NYC, so it was easy for me to go. If you live far away, I don't know if it's necessarily worth commuting/traveling a very far distance and all that to come in for it.

i had the chillest, most conversational interview here that was around 70 minutes long. einstein seems really amazing and i'd be so happy if i got in here

You apply for the research and service scholarship after your acceptance. You have to apply by a certain deadline (I think 2 weeks?) after your acceptance. The range varies person by person. I have heard of people getting 15,000 from it! So it is a pretty hefty scholarship!

When I wrote letters last year, I always wrote it to "To whom this may concern"

I wasn't in the NY area when I was interviewing last year so I didn't go. But, I have heard lots of great things from it. Awesome way to see what alumni are doing, chill and relax. What you will see and feel is the people in Einstein's community and see if you can fit in! I would encourage you all to go if you are in the NY area. However, if you are not in the NY area, I don't think it is not worth paying a plane ticket for! I didn't feel like I miss a thing for not going last year!

I can tell you that I interviewed last year in early march, was waitlisted at first and then accepted in April. I then applied for the service and research scholarship and got 30k a year for four years. So absolutely go for it.

So when they award the scholarship, is it for all four years?

II !!! this is a good day!

Got an II from Mount Sinai, sent an "in the area" email to Einstein & others, then got my II here this afternoon! 😀

Like others have said, it's worth going if you're in the area, but I wouldn't go far out of my way. It's not like a "second look" or anything, it's a party that lasts a couple of hours. You go, you eat, you drink, you mingle. There will be other accepted students, some faculty and alumni, and some current students, so if you want to speak candidly with any of those people and have a good time for a few hours (open bar! :naughty:), then by all means, go. There will probably also be a couple short, light speeches.

wow congrats man, i've been dying to get an II from these schools... still haven't gotten a rejection, but damn the wait is getting killer. good luck!

II today. Very surprised. My buddy got one too. Interviewing March 20.

I got an ii a couple of weeks ago and was told the earliest date was April 22... A little confused as to why recent ii are given March dates.. Should I call and ask if there is a way to interview earlier?

Just got an interview invite today! I responded right away with my dates, and they emailed me back for my actual date - THIS Friday, February 22nd, 11:00am! I am SO stoked for this! And I am even more excited to be headed back home for my first in-state interview!!!

Yes, I know many people who do this and get moved up. I got an II today and they gave me my earliest requested date - this Friday.

2 questions,
1) Does anyone know how late Einstein continues to send out II's?
2) Has Einstein sent out any pre-interview rejections yet?

wow a few ii's sent out today? maybe i should have sent an loi that was probably the last batch

1) Invites go out until the end of April

2) Don't think so, but not sure
