1. What about our medical school attracted you to apply to CMSRU? (1000 characters)
2. What issues make healthcare a challenge in the CMSRU community and how can you contribute to a solution here? (1000 characters)
3. Tell us something about you that does not come through in the AMCAS application. (1000 characters)
4. Ten years from now what do you see yourself doing and where? (1000 characters)

Good luck to everyone applying! :luck:

Anybody have an idea when Cooper's secondaries will come out?

First Interview Invite!! first Interview day is 9/14
Submitted 7/12
Complete 7/16

Sure. 3.38 cGPA, 3.47 sGPA, 4.00 graduate GPA in BU's MAMS program (SMP), 35S MCAT (36S composite), top 15 school. Lots of volunteering, research, shadowing, and leadership.

I think what helped was writing a very mission centered secondary about the Camden community.

EDIT:reapplicant also in 2011, but not to Cooper

Can anyone help me figure this out:
Cooper's website states that they don't take AP credits. But upper level classes can take the place of AP credits. However they also add all science courses used to satisfy a prereq must have a lab component.

I have AP credits for biology, but have many upper level bio courses to replace my AP credits. But none of those courses really have a lab component... Am I screwed or what.

I would just say as an explanation that you plan on taking a course with a lab before you matriculate.. and then if you get an interview make sure you sign up for a science class with a lab.

Does anybody know how important the recommended two semesters of Spanish are for Cooper? Will they look unfavorably at my app if I don't have this?

has anyone heard this week?

I hate dumb questions like this. Cooper is definitely going to not accept someone with a 36/4.0 who is personable & passionate because they didn't take the two suggested semesters of Spanish...

On the MSAR it says that they screen, but I don't think that there is much of one; I received a secondary first thing in the morning after I was verified.

I'm OOS too and good luck!

Just received a re-jection email. OOS. Complete 22nd. 🙁

I'll give them a call and find out why because this school's mission really appealed to me.

Hm, has anyone out of state received an interview? I really like this school!! They screen secondaries right?

just got an interview this morning! OOS, California. they say that i can schedule my interview, but there are no options on the interview calendar yet. im assuming they're still working on the dates

They start in September, but the available dates start in October and November if you keep going on the calendar.

Seems like I will get a rejection soon 🙁

When were you guys marked "complete"? Thanks

camden smells bad anyway

Does anyone know how many seats are there for the inaugural class?

I'm excited to interview here! My first invite. (OOS)

Any current students want to give us a heads-up on how the school seems so far?

Metaphase, you mind sharing your stats? Thanks!

The inaugural class had 50 seats. I think this years class (for those applying now) will have 60 seats. They are going to keep adding 10 seats a year until they hit 100 per class.

Orientation doesn't actually start until next Monday so I can't give you to much inside as of yet. The administration seems pretty on top of things. They have been really responsive on questions and such.

I used SDN last year to get essay questions and it was really helpful, so I figured I would join and actually contribute something to the site.

did you guys get rejected pre or post secondary? I added them on my primary but haven't heard a peep...I was verified mid June.

for people interviewing from OOS, are you flying into PHL and staying in Philly? or staying in NJ? im trying to figure out the best accommodations to make it to cooper early in the morning on interview day

Interview! But I just got the invite on 8/8 which is probably why the first available date was in October...

30Q, 3.83cgpa fyr

+4, this school was my absolute last choice though, so whatevs

+5 (post-secondary)

Darn, I was kinda excited about this place too...

Good luck to everyone submitting/interviewing!

3.5 cGPA, 3.5 sGPA, 32 MCAT

Strange, Ive been complete for a while, with significantly better stats and in-state, and haven't heard a word!

I guess they're taking LoR and such into account significantly in the interview-offer process.

Complete 8/17 invite today
IS 3.2 GPA 35 mcat

I am in-state, but had to travel to Philly for work from North Jersey. Philly hotels are usually more expensive. I stayed in Cherry Hill and commuted to Philly (via Camden) daily.

AMCAS verified this morning, secondary received this afternoon.

This is a really quiet thread. Let me ask this...was anyone else blown away by the description of Cooper's curriculum? I have to say I'm interested in how parts of it will work in practice.
