Accepted! Got the letter today. Interviewed 10/23
Accepted! Got the letter today. Interviewed 10/23
As of December 15, 2012, we have .....
Received 884 AMCAS applications
Received 715 Supplementary applications
Interviewed 378 applicants
Made 67 offers
(Generally it takes 100-125 offers to fill a class)
Looks like they have received more applications than this time last year and are releasing acceptances faster. Hopefully that will mean good news for us soon. Good luck!
MD from ECU or DO from top DO school?Has anyone received any acceptances this week? Because if they accepted more applicants on the 15th, then people should've started receiving letters, right? Unless they mailed out acceptances early this week.
Checked my mail today and found a rejection letter. Very disappointed with this one.
Interviewed on 9/25. 32S/3.65 cumulative.

are all rotations conducted at Vidant?
+1, only I (foolishly) declined my interview offer to Tulane and haven't gotten in anywhere yet. Good news is that the NC schools love re-applicants.
wow, that's a lot of movement for them- wonder when they met and if my LOI got there in time!
how much time is there between the website update and when they actually mail out letters? Anyone know?
gotcha. oh well.it's usually pretty quick- people seem to get in between the 15th and 17th on here
seriously? Our step scores are equal or better than the other schools in nc every year. We match students of all specialties to places like mayo, mass gen, ny pres, etc. Every year in addition to improving the quality of health care in nc for the many students who have made it their mission to stay. This is a premium education, if you don't want the seat give it to one of the 9 other talented nc residents that get turned down for every one acceptance.. We are also the most affordable medical school in the country.. I happen to enjoy the idea that i'll come out of medical school with nearly no loans/debt as opposed to the average of a quarter million..
If you want to go into do because you enjoy the principles of osteopathic medicine, by all means do it. Your comment just sounds like you are implying that you will not get a good md education at ecu, which is pretty offensive and so far from the truth.
I was wondering the same thing! For current M1s...do you recommend having roommates or living alone?Anyone know if there's a Facebook page?
Interviewed December 10th, still waiting on a response. They said it would be sometime in February! Did anyone else interview in December and still waiting/or got a response? As of January 15, 2013, we have .....
Received 884 AMCAS applications
Received 715 Supplementary applications
Interviewed 416 applicants
Made 80 offers

Hoping for the best. Really fell in love with ECU after the tour and interviews!
Yup! September 5th.
Well I'm glad I'm not alone, but I hate that you have to feel the same kind of frustration I feel haha
at least we're still in the running? the waiting definitely sucks- between them and UNC (9/12) I'm beginning to think the state has some sort of conspiracy against me (maybe they figured out I'm a damn yankee at heart)!
Did anyone hear any news??
How many times do you think the committee will meet before April? I'm thinking about 3 more times...do they meet in April as well? I wonder if anyone knows?
Thanks!I would imagine so.. Feb 15, March 1, March 15. I think after that, they'll just send out letters to everyone informing them their status: accepted, waitlisted, rejected.
I guess no news yet for anyone?
I guess the committee did not meet today...or they forgot to update the website.
