I got a missed call with area code from Oakland County (yeah, totally googled it) with a voice mail to call back, but with the pacific time lag and work, I couldn't return the call.. 😡

Could it be??? I can't sleep tonight...

Interview 9/14
 
Congrats on all of the acceptances!! Just wondering...I was complete mid September, so it's been a month. Do you think they're run out of interview slots before they get to this batch. I was looking at the interview tracker they are getting close.

If they don't have any interview spots open by the time they get to my app, is just an automatic rejection?
 
After a convoluted dream and a night of toss and turning, called back first thing this morning. and yep, ACCEPTED!

They said they hold interview spots for later applications. They also said they hold spots in admission for later applications also
 
Adcom completed reviews for 9/14 and 9/21 interview days. Have a couple more to review for 9/28. Next meeting 10/31. Making calls now.

Anyone know what the next meeting means? Or when they might resume sending out interview invites? I really want to interview here 🙂

Next meeting means the next time they sit down to review people for acceptance/rejection decisions. So my best guess would be that the next set of calls will go out on the 31st.

HOLY CRAP!!! ACCEPTED! Interviewed 9/28.

Dean Grabowski called at 9am this morning (Pacific Time)! Best way to wake up ever!

I'm wondering this as well. I accepted the offer online, and the status page has a red exclamation point by "deposit" and I'm not sure where/when I pay this

Newly admitted students - no deposit is required now. We will ask for deposits in the spring.

Got the call from Dean Grabowski at 1130 this morning! I interviewed 9/7 and thought I was put in re-review but turns out they didn't review my file until today. In utter shock right now!
 
I have that "Call me, maybe?" song stuck in my head...
 
Any rejections yet? Or waitlists?

I wonder how many they have already accepted and how many MORE will go out today.

This wait is killing me.. trying to remain positive. 😳

I don't think they reject many interviewees. Unless you are an utterly bad fit for them (i.e. you curse someone out during the interview day, lol).

I don't think they wait list until the Spring. What they do is they continually review people they haven't accepted yet each time they meet (first, third, and fifth Wednesdays of each month), so you may receive a call today, or the 31st, which is the next time they meet.

ahh! got it. So I will just have to wait longer.. wonderful. Interviewed the 14th. I am guessing not hearing from them thus far is a bad sign... :scared::xf:

I really hope you guys get through! I know it's tough waiting. I was literally clutching my phone the whole day yesterday even though they said they had not gotten to the 9/28ers yet.

With each review you have a chance. I would try a letter of interest to bring yourselves up to their attention again. There's a place to upload them on the portal.

I interviewed on the 14th, too.
Oh well! Here's to good luck for us on the 31st!
 
This thread has some awesome people in it, so just wanted to pop in to say congrats to all!! 😀
 
I'm a little confused about how to accept the offer. Does pressing the "accept" button mean that I am locked in and won't be able to choose another school? I mean, OUWB is my top choice but I still have to look at financial aid/COA at other schools.
 
Well, I accepted. 😀

I think you can hold a seat until May, at which point you will have to give up your other spots and only hold a seat at the school you intend to go to.

You're right! Accepting OUWB's offer doesn't bind you to them in any way, it will just hold your spot in the class. In this same manner, you can hold multiple acceptances from multiple schools while you decide where you would like to attend. But then starting in May (May 15th I think), you have to hold only one acceptance and withdraw from the other schools

a) Has anyone with a sub 30 MCAT score and GPA around 3.6 been accepted?
b) How long after you submitted your verified primary to the school did you receive the supplemental?

MCAT in the low 30's and GPA b/t 3.4 and 3.5.

Hahaha, us Dothraki/Targaryens know how to party. Alcohol and blood flowing everywhere. I actually haven't heard back from OUWB yet so they might be discussing the rest of my interview date on the next meeting. OUWB is a great school and I really liked it from my interview experience there. However I did get my first acceptance today from another school so I'll be celebrating this weekend just like many of you!

I got a phone call around 12:30pm eastern time, but missed it by like a second and when I called back it went to voicemail. It looks like it's good news, but I need confirmation, so I'm planning on calling back tomorrow morning. Keeping my fingers crossed 🙂 and I interviewed 8/24

sounds like an acceptance to me! Congrats!
 
also does anyone else remember what Dean Grabowski said about post-interview letter's of interest during the interview day? I felt like she said that they arent considered as part of the decision process, but I'm not 100% sure.

I sent one in just a couple days ago. She said they welcome them but they won't have a huge impact on your decision. It can only help IMO so maybe send one if you get a chance.
