Well, there is some. It seems no one is really sure of how much. It makes it even harder to assess because they don't seem to reject anyone post-interview (until literally right before orientation starts).

I thought they mentioned at interview day that people are rejected post-interview?

I could be wrong though

No I'm pretty sure they don't reject post interview. Like sinombre mentioned the consensus is that there is WL movement each year. However the stories are mixed. Plus this year they did the whole "invite some WLers to revisit" thing that makes it even harder to predict what's going on!

I'm just frustrating that things are moving so slowlyyyyy. Day by day passes and still..silence. I want to hear SOMETHING!
 
For those waiting, FYI I got a call today from Dean Peterson and was accepted off the wait list. Originally interviewed in October and was wait listed at that time. Good luck to everyone else waiting, I didn't expect this at all. 🙂

Thanks! No I was not invited to revisit day. I was pretty bummed I wasn't and thought my chances were therefore not good but I guess you never know. I sent a single letter of interest in early May, but otherwise tried not to bug them too much.

Interviewed in early October and was wait listed at that time.

In state, 37-T, 3.6 GPA.

Awesome! you must be so stoked. I also interviewed in October! Haha I hope this means they look at me soon! When did you get the call? I wonder if you're the first of the WL movement post May 15th...I wonder what their logic was in inviting ppl to revisit then...

In any case, congrats again! Really hoping I hear back soon 🙂 hopefully I didn't bug them too much..

Question for people accepted from the waitlist (congrats, btw!)- how long did UCI give you to decide on their offer?
 
Anyone hear back lately? Bear eats beets--still silence? I wonder if there's any hope of hearing this weekend..

Nothing yet, and I highly doubt they'll be making calls over Memorial Day weekend... Sigh. The waiting continues.

Its okay. Right there with yah buddy. Just gotta enjoy the weekend I guess. At this point I'm thinking we'll have to wait till June!

Accepted at Yale, just withdrew from my spot in the class. So things are still shaking up and waitlist movement should happen soon! Good luck all!
 
Just got the acceptance call from Dr. Peterson. Interviewed 4/24.

does anyone know how many people are on the alternate list? i think i remember them saying that they re-review everyone on the alternate list. that would take time

Well, maybe. Schools tend to over-accept to account for people who decline their acceptance offers (to minimize the number of applicants they have to pull from a wait list). So the class might still be full 🙁
