When they do offer them, some acceptances will go out on Friday while others will go out on Monday or Tuesday. Just keep an eye on your status in the system. I have no idea if they met this last week or will be meeting next week, but finals are this upcoming week and I don't know that will play with the process.
 
Thank you! I've been hoping for a response sooner rather than later because, well, waiting can be hard if you have little patience like me, haha.

Hey guys, just letting you know that they mentioned to interviewees today that they'll be meeting next week. The good news for us who interviewed today is that we'll be included at their meeting (which I'm super happy about) but sorry for those who have to wait a bit longer!

Hey guys. I just got an interview request. I was complete on 12/01 so I think more of you should hear back soon!
 
I checked my status page this morning. I have it scheduled for January 16th at Rockford.
 
There are no interview slots available when I log in? Anyone else have this problem?

I wish I had that problem (still waiting)....my understanding is that they update it with more as they get filled

Well, IME, it means you've interviewed but they haven't made a decision yet. GL (but don't take my spot! 😀)

Did anyone else get interviews this month? There were only 2 SDNers... I would think there would be more

I got offered an interview but there are no more available slot. Sorry to burst your bubble 😕 I have been checking back and forth to see if anyone cancels but so far nothing. Im already accepted at my state school but would love to have Illinios as an option. Good luck. Hope they show you some love.
 
Anyone know how we should send in our final transcripts? What address, and how we should go about it?

was it offered to you today? ahh the only reason I'm panicking is bc the admissions office told me my application was reviewed and I would hear back this week. 😕

What was your status before you were offered the interview?

Sorry, I'm still trying to figure out the applicant in progress/process thing. I've been applicant in progress for almost 2 weeks now. Hope I'm not out of the running... :scared:

I went from applicant in progress to applicant in process to interview schedule calendar.

applicant in process ; I was applicant in progress and changed about 2 weeks ago. was told I was done with my reviewers and awaiting a committee decision :xf:
 
UIC sent me the secondary app link on Dec. 6. I immediately completed it and submitted it on Dec. 6. Unfortunately, almost two weeks later, the status is still:

Recommendation(s): 3 received from AMCAS, expecting a total of 3, awaiting Admissions Officer letter review-

Does anyone know how long the "Admissions Officer letter review" may take?

I interviewed here today. I didn't like it. I will withdraw my application tomorrow.

You have to call to schedule the interview. My calendar was filled too, called and got a date no problem.

lol. what part of an interview day do you think has any bearing on your education/experience? unless you just hated the campus or something.

for what its worth, I interviewed in peoria and pretty much hated it. But I toured the chicago campus the next day and loved it. and then i was assigned the chicago campus.
 
Anyone know a good way to get to Peoria Campus? Flights to the Quad city are expensive and Chicago is one heck of a drive.
 
Oh, bit of advice to people about interviews: Rockford is very easy to get to from O'Hare and is only about a 80 minute drive. Otherwise, it is also easy to get to the Champaign-Urbana campus via train. The location that you interview at supposedly has very little to do with your campus placement. Remember the quicker that you interview the more likely you are to be accepted (and that's the name of the game).

Also, each campus has their own interview format. The interview that I had at Rockford was an informal panel with two professors and an M3. Very relaxed. I've heard Chicago does things differently.

I sent mine to the office of admissions in Chicago. Pretty sure thats the central location.

Well Chicago or St. Louis are your best bets for big airports with cheap and frequent flights, but keep in mind you could very likely find a bus to take you from Chicago to Peoria. Also, there are quite a few college towns with small airports near there. Champaign has one, Bloomington/Normal has one, Peoria might even have one. They likely don't have many flights available, but they're worth a look. Good Luck!

Pretty sure...
Decision made pre-interview = rejection
Decision pending (post-interview) = adcom hasn't reviewed your file/they have but haven't made a decision on you yet, it will keep getting reviewed
Decision made w/ additional correspondence tab (post interview) = accepted
Decision made with no additional correspondence tab (post interview) = rejection

Not sure if this is right, but it's what I got from it. Also, not sure what happens to your status if you're wait listed.
