Mine changed today as well. Hopefully that means we'll learn about possible interviews today or Thursday. Although they may have received so many apps on that first Monday that it'll be a crapshoot to determine when we get decisions...

My file's been complete since 7/6 and I still haven't heard anything! Has anyone else gotten some love from 123 tuesday or 321 thursday?

OMG i just got a notification from MSU..thought it was an update from michigan when it popped up. haha dangit
 
Does UMich have an auto-invite policy? I just got an interview email even though my secondary isn't complete...hope it isn't a mistake haha

Whats your numbers?

Funny they blatantly claimed that they discontinued auto-invites this cycle... but giving out invites before even getting a secondary sounds a lot like autoinvites to me... silly michigan.
 
Anyone know the numbers required for an apparent auto invite? Would a 35 3.8 be just under?

there is no auto-invite ... they offer interviews based on your primary application (secondaries are only due 2 weeks prior to the interview itself)

I got an interview invite as well prior to submitting my secondary. Didn't even have my rec letters in for my primary (came in yesterday to AMCAS, got II on Monday).

For those who have been granted interviews as well, are the only dates that you're seeing the 2 September ones? Is that all we have the option of picking?

Yep, those were the only two I saw as well.

Yeah. Michigan groups their interviews so that they can give people a quick turnaround for decisions. That's why there's only three (one of them solely for MSTP) interview days before Oct 15th. So people interviewing in September should find out a decision in October. At least that's how it's worked in previous years...

Also, who else is going September 7th?

do you guys if we need to get everything in by interview date? mine is aug 24 so its pretty early and my committee letter still seems to be unwritten.

Does Michigan have a fast review time? I was complete and under review since 7/11..nervously wondering if I'm going to hear anything this week!

I got my interview invite over a week ago. One thing that I realized was that the UM application status page was updated saying "invited for interview" several hours before I received an email stating that I was invited. So keep checking your application status page if you're waiting for an invite.

True. I saw my II on the status page at ~3:30, a good 1.5 hours before I got the email from the admissions office.

Did any MD/PhD candidates get interviews yet? I'm wondering if they're holding off on those apps, since the first MSTP interview day isn't until October.
 
With 3-2-1 coming in the next few hours, I've got a question.

Has anyone been rejected yet? I was complete on 7/10/12 and am wondering if they've skipped over my app but just don't inform rejected applicants this early in the app season.
 
Don't fret, lots of time still. I submitted on 7/2 (first day) and heard back last Thursday. You were a week later, and I'm sure a larger amount of applications have went in through that week.

I'm interviewing on the 14th. I'm looking at flying on the 13th and flying out on the 14th. This is gonna be my fist interview, and I have a question.
If I stay in a hotel and I have to check out by 11am, but the interview day goes until 230, then I have to check out before I leave to go to the interview, which means I'm gonna have my stuff with me. Does anyone know if there is a place to leave your stuff when you check in for the interview? or can I leave it at the hotel and get it later?? 😕

I believe the admissions office said that they lock up your things for you once you check in on interview day.
 
Anyone else considering taking a red eye flight? I'm coming from the west coast and I don't want to miss a whole day of classes. Is this a horrible idea?
 
Anyone get interview invites today!? I just checked and I'm still "under review" - sigh.
 
Same here. Haha, oh well next week hopefully.

I would say this is a bad idea. Flight delays, weather delays, other delays. Too many possibilities to miss your interview.
 
What are their interview dates?

What are their interview dates for MSTP, if different.

I can't find it on the website..
 
First interview offer of the year! I am very excited! As an OOS this was definitely one of my reach schools!
