The last interview date for the 2012-13 cycle will be Wednesday, February 20th.

Comparing to last year's timeline, this would mean that the last batch of invites will go out by/towards the end of the month.

Also, Yale is pretty receptive with updates. As long as they're meaningful, don't hedge!

Do they give you a confirmation after you send them updates? Cuz I got nothing ... =/

I really doubt they send interview invites in February. Sigh* dammit Yale we could've been great together

Can anyone comment as to whether II are done being sent out?

Would anyone be kind enough to PM me Dean Silverman's email address? I think I misplaced his card. Thanks in advance.

Right there with you. I really wanted this interview, and thought I was a great fit. Oh well, I have some exciting acceptances, and a few more bits of news out there yet to be released, so I'm not too bummed,

Would have been nice to "be nominated" though haha. Waiting on the rejection now.

:naughty:I just sent a "I respectfully withdraw my application from consideration" email to Harvard because I knew their interview season was over. Helped me feel a little power to say "no" first (kinda) in this sea of rejection. :naughty:

I know decisions aren't rolling, but does interviewing earlier in the cycle have any advantages? The clear disadvantage is having to wait longer for the decision date. This wait is killer.

I was told at my interview in early January that this is no advantage to either interviewing early or later in the season. I don't know if this actually true or not but it is what we were told.

There are no disadvantages whatsoever.

And yes, I believe interview invitations are no longer being sent out.

Someone mentioned that the final decisions are given 3/13/13. Do accepted applicants receive a phone call, or is that when snail mail letters are sent out? Thanks!

Waiting for march acceptances is easily the most painful part of this entire admissions process haha. Good luck to all SDN applicants!

I haven't checked into this thread in months. I'm still pre-interview. My rejection is basically on the way, right?

I don't care about disadvantages, I was hoping there would be ADVANTAGES. I interviewed the first week of interviews and hate waiting 😛

Just confirming.. We do updated by uploading docs to the website, right?

10 days and counting down for my number one dream school.

Is 3/13 the day that Yale is releasing decisions?

Okay, cool. Thanks! Wow that's coming up quick.

One more week! I wonder what time decisions come out? And do waitlists and rejections go on separate days than the acceptances?

From last year's thread, it looks like decisions came out between 12:30 and 1pm. In that case, I guess lunch on the 13th will be a bit more stressful than usual!

In that case, I will make sure to eat an early lunch (maybe 11:30-noon). Everything seems to lose its taste after bad news 🙁

Apologies if it's been addressed before, but does anyone know how many people Yale typically puts on the waitlist (and how many from the waitlist are eventually accepted)? Are they one of those schools that has literally hundreds on their waitlist?

You can check last year's thread for the exact details, but I think they all came out at the same time. Don't remember time of day though, and honestly it can change from year to year. At least we know the date for sure.

Last year it seems that acceptances went out at 12:40 EST via email, and waitlists/rejections notified through snail mail a day or two later.

Not sure about the number people waitlisted, but previous years' threads have said that waitlisted applicants are grouped into 3 "tiers." You're notified of your tier after May 15, and the majority of people from Tier 1 and maybe some from Tier 2 are eventually accepted.

One more week people!!! We are so quiet lol.

Great, thanks for the info! And yeah, I can't believe how quiet this thread is haha

I know! Why so quiet, Yale people? See you all in a week though 🙂

Can't believe it's finally come down to one week... Although that still feels like a long time, haha. Finally close to the end, folks!

I know right. I think we all just don't want to get attached to this Yale thread and then not get accepted.

I interviewed on 2/20 but haven't heard anything yet. Today I got a certiphi screening request. I am waiting to hear from 3 schools, so one of them most have requested this. Did anyone else get the background check request without any acceptance/waitlist info?
