Hi guys,

Just to let you know, I submitted 8/20, and just received an II for the MD/PhD program. 31, 4.0, OOS, 4 years of research. Hope to let you all know how it goes in November!

I second that... I thought it was just me, but it seems like the 9 posts in a row on these threads saying "II!" have stopped for now. I think schools are wrapping up their first rounds of interviews, my guess is another wave will come around mid or end of October

same thing happened to me. In the end, look into staying at one of the hostels around town. They're much cheaper than any hotel, and I think there are some really close to the school, if not walking distance then by bus

Accccceeeppppttttteddddd!!!!! They called me by the wrong name the first time, then called back!!!! I wasn't able to sleep all night. I answered that phone call in 2 rings. I was expecting them in November! Guys, we're going to be doctors no matter what!

Haha I checked out your mdapps and I interviewed the same day! Let's hope we don't actually have to wait until November for a decision 😀

Got a "deferred decision" email today. Sounds like it's the next best thing to being accepted because it's not a wait list and it's not a rejection.

From the email:
"This letter does not mean that you have been Wait-Listed. Please do not be discouraged; it is not at all uncommon for our committee to place qualified applicants in the “deferred decision” category, and many applicants initially placed in this category will ultimately be admitted."

Anyone else receive this? I'm really crossing my fingers for Tufts, it's one of my top two choices.

They have a quota for acceptances. You didn't quite make the first batch but they obviously think that you're competitive enough to receive an acceptance in subsequent rounds.

I think all of us late August people are in the same boat. Still haven't heard anything either. I sent an update earlier this week to make them think about me 😉 (I did actually have a real update) hopefully they'll get to our apps in the next well or so.

Check-in begins at 9:45am and the day starts at 10:00am.
