Well the last acceptance was December 11th, so it's been a solid month since any notification was given out. I'm really hoping we hear something today or tomorrow! P.S. can we send them updates of our work/volunteer activity?

We can't, the deadline has already passed. However, I think they'll still accept transcript updates.
 
Just emailed with an Admissions Counselor and she told me that now instead of having two rounds of acceptances a month, they will only have one..

Is this old news to anybody? Because I just found out about this!

I was expecting 2 a month, but I guess they're starting to run out of time? If that's true, then they might be comparing two interview dates at the same time. It would make sense since the two interviews in January are only a week apart.

I interviewed in late November, and the admissions representative told our group that the school makes offers once a month, every month, and that they run a month behind in selections (so the earliest November interviewees would hear anything at all is January). She also said that very few interviewees (usually less than 20 a month) get an offer right off the bat - most get hold emails at first. So don't get discouraged if you get a hold - you could very well get an offer later. It conflicts with what others have posted that they heard, but that's what I was told.

I don't suppose she mentioned when they might start releasing decisions about the November interviewees? snowy1 said on the previous page they are meeting today, but I don't know where he/she got this intel.

I think they said at the interview we might expect to hear back in 4-6 weeks. Like a couple posters above, I convince myself more and more each day that I'm going to get a hold. This school has definitely been the most difficult wait for me!

I guess that makes sense as well. I'm assuming they have a cutoff for acceptances and compare the people on hold with the next batch of interviewees. Rinse and repeat until class is full.
 
I'm predicting the ad com is planning on meeting after this last group interviews. The director did tell us that the committee would meet mid jan and late jan. though.

According to their website, they have 2 rounds of acceptances between November-March. However, this cycle they have only given out 1 per month ( November and December). I wonder how many people they accept per round now, since they are only sending out 1 acceptance per month?!

Well, if there's a total of 4 acceptance dates they'd have to be accepting between 25-30 people each time to fill the class.

I have a hunch that I already know the answer to this question, but are any more IIs going out? If so, would an update letter be useful at this point?

They do not accept update letters. I sent one in and received a response stating that only AMCAS app is considered.
 
I saw it upthread somewhere, but they don't accept transcript updates either.

I doubt any more IIs are going out, the last interview date is this Saturday according to the UACOM website.

There is one other interview date in February... on the 8th I believe.

I applied very late in the cycle (12/2) and was invited to interview. The only date left at that time was 02/08. Luckily, I added myself to the waitlist for the January interviews and was given a spot on the 01/11 interview date 🙂 But I don't think there are any additional dates past that...
 
Does anyone have a red exclamation point next to "File Under Review" in their application portal who interviewed a while ago (like November)?? I called and asked, and she said that November interviewees are under review, but mine still has a red exclamation point instead of a green check mark.

I interviewed in November, and I have it. Others have mentioned it before as well.

I interviewed in December and have it as well. It means that it's under review.
 
It's been more than a month since the last round of acceptances were given out. Anyone know when they will send out more acceptances?

I was hoping for this week as it has been five weeks since my interview. I guess it could be next week... or the next... or the next...
 
You got accepted or you got an interview? According to UA website, there were not any interviews on Tuesday, January 14. Did you possibly mean to post on the University of Alabama thread?

No, I got accepted, to University of Arizona, for which I am in-state for (lived in Alabama during childhood)


EDIT: Sorry, in my excitement, I said January. I interviewed DECEMBER 14

I'm assuming you're OOS? Huge Congrats btw!!!! I'm stalking this thread for a really good friend of mine. Was it the Tuscon or the Phoenix campus?
 
Did anyone else receive anything? I didn't get any notification, not even a hold email.

I'm In-state , I got into the Tuscon campus! I loved the city, I'm a small town kinda guy, and am really excited right now!

Congrats. Did anyone else get anything from Tucson? I thought Tucson sends all applicants updates when they send out acceptances. I haven't heard anything.
 
Me neither, it seems odd that they didn't send out as a group and on a Saturday right?
 
It seems very odd! It definitely worries me...

I agree, it worries me too, but I'm guessing they are sending out acceptances today because they are interviewing today, so the staff is working today.
 
That makes sense, but why not send them out in a large batch like the last two rounds?
 
i interviewed dec 14th and have not heard back. do you think we are all on hold and thats why we havent heard anything? maybe the acceptances were all sent in one batch this morning.
 
I just got the acceptance email (thank GOODNESS!) this morning too. I interviewed in November. I wish you all the best of luck.

I know someone is going to ask for stats, so I'm IS, 3.8 GPA, 29 MCAT, and this is my second year applying.

thanks for the info. this makes me think the acceptances were sent in one batch this morning and that the people who havent heard back will get the hold email. hopefully im wrong. but thats my prediction.

If you are right don't get discouraged - someone on admissions told me that many, many people who get accepted get hold emails first. Good luck.
 
Oh my heart hurts now. 🙁 Guess I'm on hold, no email today.
 
Shoutout to my boi, Sackler.

Also, congrats to everyone receiving acceptances. If you haven't gotten one, don't sweat it.
