Anyone aware of any waitlist movement at all after the email went out to applicants on the alternate list?

I was accepted from the Alternate List at 12:30 MST. I am ecstatic and excited to join this class. UC Irvine has been my top choice for a long time. I have been on edge since attending revisit day. Good luck to anyone on the waitlist. It's moving.

So, I just got awarded a summer research fellowship that I've been wanting, but I can't accept it unless I get off the waitlist at UCI because I'll be leaving California in the middle of the fellowship dates if I end up going elsewhere for medical school. I know that UCI doesn't tell us where we are on the waitlist, but I really need to know soon or else I lose my chance to accept this fellowship. Do you guys think the admissions office would give me an exception and just tell me my chances so I know whether I can take the fellowship or not if I call them and ask? Or would it be appropriate in this case to call Dr. Peterson to ask?

Since it seems like they're one of the few schools with a ranked wait list, I would call and ask. It seems like you have a special case here and aren't just asking because you're an impatient applicant - at least imo.

Does anyone know what the day to day schedule is for M1? Does the mandatory classes end after 4pm?
