Could be wrong, but I don't think everyone is getting one at this stage. Believe everyone still get an iPads, though.

Accepted this morning from the waitlist!!! SO EXCITED!
Good luck to everyone else still hanging on, and I'm excited to meet all of you accepted folks this July!
 
Did anyone get accepted off the waitlist who was not invited to second look? Also, does anyone know the date of the first day of orientation in July?

do you know when we should expect the email for the to-do list?

In all honesty, my excitement overshadowed Dr. Peterson's voice when I spoke with her! 🤣

Same..I got it later on on the same day, but Dr Peterson said it would come within the next few days!
 
Does anyone know if they reject anyone after they interview. Or do they just put everyone who isn't accepted on the alternate list?

The latter. At our interview date, they told us that they rank the waitlist, but applicants are not told of their rank.

A student told me during revisit weekend that approximately half of his class came from the waitlist. (This was an MS3 though, so things may have changed in the last few years..)

An MS1 told me the same thing about the most recent entering class. 👍

Haha me too, but no, I have no idea. I'd expect a call later in the week though.

Took a little bit more than a week for me (i live in norcal). Included in the packet was the admitted students checklist and technical standards form.

Nope, you're right; the accepted student website is much more detailed and comprehensive than the physical package that gets mailed to you, so i wouldn't worry about it 🙂

I got the call from Dr. Peterson this morning! I'm definitely matriculating and very excited to join the UC Irvine family! How should I go about looking for roommates to live with off campus?? Advice would be much appreciated :]

Congrats! There's a facebook group for the class of '18 that you should join...someone made a google doc where everyone can write down their names, where they want to live, and etc🙂 (the link for it is on facebook.)

I haven't heard anything yet... but I was invited to revisit day late. My interview was in November.. In case that matters

I'm from the last interview date and just saw my status change to "Alternate List" today. Has yours changed also? I am very hopeful. It would mean so much to study medicine at UCI, my Alma Mater, and will definitely practice in the area since I am very much attached to the communities there and all my support network is in the OC.
 
Congrats to all of the recent acceptances! Any news or updates about the waitlist? Ie if the class is full or how many are on the waitlist?
 
It's been almost two weeks since the last posted movement of the waitlist. Does anyone have any recent news?

On the Facebook group, there have been a couple more new announcements in the past week or two... Slowly but surely!
 
I am currently on the alternate list here and received and email yesterday asking if I was still interested in remaining on this list. Had to fill out a contact form as my access to their online portal was being terminated. Did everyone get this who is still on the alternate list?
 
Me too. Hopefully it will help the waitlist move faster by getting acceptances to those that really want to attend UCI without going through students that aren't really interested.
 
I am sure that this question might have already been asked in previous threads, but forgive me for asking again: Are all interviewing applicants get wait-listed if they do not get accepted after the interview?
