WeLL rel called me today!!!! And I got my preliminary acceptance (upper 1/3) I'm going to be a knight!!! Thank you Ucf for believing in me!!! Go knights!!!
Congrats! That's awesome! I was pleasantly surprised with a phone call earlier than expected. Top third as well. I am elated 😀 The more I think about it, the more I can't picture myself anywhere else! Good luck to those still waiting to hear!

Rel didn't send me the link or email 🙁 could you pm me the Facebook? I think rel was in his car when he called lol I'm so excited!!!! Now to look for future roommates!!!!

Got a call from REL.. at about the middle of the waitlist. Prospects are decent based on the last 3 years.. but no guarantees. Currently not holding any other acceptances, so if I get the chance to come here I most definitely will! Hope to join you all 🙂

Congrats to everyone recently accepted! For people still on the wait list, keep strong and positive. There's always been (based on all past threads) solid movement for top 1/3 and a fair amount of the middle 1/3!

I posted in fb but incase your not on there if anyone needs a place to stay for second look let me know! Also after second look I'll have a little get together with first n second years and us! Pm me for my number!

Should I be concerned that REL didn't call me today? I have on my calendar that I am supposed to hear about my final wait list position today :\

No need to be concerned, I posted that I was going to wait until after Tuesday's final committee meeting and that I would provide updates on Wednesday or no later than Thursday.....tomorrow will net an update for you and many others. Cheers! I wish you well.

I can't even sleep knowing that I'm expecting an update tomorrow! Good luck to everyone 🙂 And congratulations to those who have been accepted lately!

Just got an email, no change for me in the upper half of the lower third. Good luck everyone else! Better than moving downward. 🙂
ditto, I'm about to send my interest email in reply but I'm not really optimistic of my chances. I'm not upset though, I was a below avg applicant and I feel like I was given a fair shot. UCF has been open and honest with me the whole time.

Does anyone have a sample M1 schedule for the school? I have the general outline for the year, but I wanted to see what the daily schedule is like. 8am/9am start time... etc

wow, last year they dipped all the way into the lower 1/3 it looks like. I hope there's at least close to that much movement this year. I wonder if that was abnormal

I think some people in CO2016 were from the lower 1/3 so maybe not.

Who else is getting sttooookkkkeeeddd for second look!? I'm going to be in Orlando this weekend for a wedding and I might just drive by and sit outside the campus and drool for a while.

Maybe lower third at the beginning of the season. But REL's email specifically said no one from lower third at this point in the year has gotten the call for the last three classes

I see...I just assumed the person at the end of last year's thread was talking about their final positioning

I think there was a least one person last year that came out of the lower third based on a post in last year's thread (2012-2013); but, if an email form an admission staff member said that wasn't the case, I would certainly trust that more. Maybe someone on here mistyped. Take a look at last year's thread if you're curious. I can at least tell you for sure that last year I was in the upper half of the lower 1/3 and was not accepted off the wait list. I also want to encourage those who fall into that position to definitely reapply! This year, I was accepted immediately after interviewing, so a few minor improvements can make a big difference. Remember, if you even interview at all it means they want you. They just don't have enough space for everyone they want. They wouldn't waste time interviewing someone that they knew they didn't want.

THIS. SO MUCH YES.

I'm a reapplicant from 2011; emailed REL who gave me some feedback, spent some time fixing up my app and working and now I'm sitting pretty with multiple MD offers. It's crazy how so much can change in such little time. It's SO IMPORTANT to be proactive, especially at UCF, as they're so transparent and helpful. GL to everyone on the WL!!!

I wish I could go!! Too bad I live in Oregon and need to save money to move, August seems so far away! Technically I don't need a second look, I already know I love UCF but it would be great to get to start meeting everyone and hearing more details about this amazing program. Those of us that can't make it will just have to live vicariously through you. I expect a full, detailed report on the day 😛

Dream doc are you on fb?

Holy Financial Aid Award, Batman! This program sure knows how to recruit. Keep an eye on your email, C/O 2018!
0_o now I will be refreshing to often! Where you accepted early?

We only had to do the FAFSA, right?

Yes, only the FAFSA. By far the easiest school in terms of fin aid paperwork.

I also received my award today. I was accepted very early in the cycle and also turned in my FAFSA fairly early.

I was accepted early as well and turned in my FAFSA in January, but no award email yet. Does that mean no award if we didn't receive an email?

silly question but you would only get the email if you were accepted already, right?

I doubt no email means no award at this point. UCF tires to give everyone at least something, if they can. I was accepted somewhat early, too, and turned in my FAFSA early as well. It probably takes time to prepare these individually and they're probably not sent out as a mass email. Don't sweat, just keep an eye on your email 🙂

Another thing to note is that I've already turned in my physical exam form, immunizations, and all the other paperwork (to my knowledge) for which they've asked so far. You'll need titers checked and PPD's so take a look at the immunization forms now because it could take a while to get everything you need. The whole acceptance process involved graduating from each "house" in order to matriculate (i.e., admissions, student affairs, financial services, perhaps diversity and equity for some, etc.)... and we thought AMCAS and secondaries were all it took.
