Is there a status page/did you guys create ONYEN profiles? Or are they just emailing interview offers?
 
Just received an interview invite via email. Monday 9/9 is the earliest available interview date I can see.

In-state, submitted around July 26. No communication after I submitted until the interview invite.
 
In-state, submitted 8/3, interview invite 8/12. 🙂 Earliest available interview date 9/9.

MCAT 37, GPA 3.6 (Both Science and all other)

I'm not sure if they've sent them yet, but I'm pretty sure all OOS students who have a science GPA of 3.49, cumulative GPA of 3.59, and a total MCAT score of 33 or higher get the secondary at some point. Only a little over 3% of OOS students get interviews though from what I've seen from past data.
 
Does anyone know how many are accepted and interviewed?
 
OOS secondary received just now. Does UNC have a heavy screen for OOS secondaries?
 
OOS interview invite, no NC ties, non-trad, high scores, complete 7/30/13
 
Yeah, I think their screen is based solely on meeting MCAT/GPA requirement.

IS reapp (no secondary last year); secondary received today!
 
Had a 3.0 sGPA, 3.4 overall; 32T

Did a special Master's program this past year and got a 3.9, which is definitely the reason for my change in outcome.
 
I never thought I'd say this, but I really wish I had more than 150 words for these essays. I feel like I spend 2/3 of my word limit just introducing the experience.

And I'm probably wasting my time here anyways as an OOS...
 
OOS, submitted 8/18. I can't find a place to check my status to see some kind of "complete, letters received" message. I feel stupid, but can anyone help me with this?
 
At least for IS, there is no place to check. You can go back to the application website, click the "Submit Application" button and see the following message: "Your supplemental application has been sent to UNC School of Medicine. Thank you for considering UNC School of Medicine for your graduate study."

I received no further communication and no indication of a complete status or letters received status between my submission and my interview invite.

IS applicant AMCAS verified 8/19, received my letter for UNC stating they have my primary application on 8/23 any idea how long it takes to get a secondary invite and when I can pretty much know that I was not selected for secondary.

It actually took me a while.... A month so it's too early to worry about that 🙂

I'm 99% sure this is correct. I got my invite a couple weeks after my secondary. Congrats.
 
Loved this school!! Hope my adcom liked me, I feel pretty good about my interview. My manager is just going to have to deal with me having my phone on at work next month while I wait for THE CALL, God willing!

Any reapplicants who have turned in their secondary hear anything yet? Or even have an idea of how long it takes to hear (since we are apparently looked at by a different committee or something...)?

Last year, the first reapp invites went out on 9/12. According to last year's thread, the reapp committee votes on whether you get a secondary, then an interview. After that, it is up to the general committee.

I turned in my secondary awhile ago, and I haven't heard anything. I'm not sure if there is any way to tell if the reapp committee is/has/will be meeting, so I guess we just have to wait and see. Good luck to all the reapps out there! :luck:

verified a few days later. same boat...
 
same here. verified 8/14 (letters not added until 8/22), initial contact: 8/16, haven't heard anything since. this process has made me obsessively check my spam so pretty confident it wasn't in there

Finally received the secondary today. Just submitted and paid. Do they send a "complete" email?

Edit: NVM, I guess they don't communicate that the application is complete.

Forgot to mention this earlier when it happened, but I received a rejection on 9/10.
I'm OOS, 33 mcat, 4.00 gpa, 2 solid years of rigorous research, 500+ clinical experience hours.
 
Supplemental application received today! Primary verified on 8/2, but MCAT score received on 9/4. I am an IS applicant.
 
Has anyone looked into how strict the 150 word limits are for the secondary? My essays are just a bit over, and the technology doesn't cut you off at 150.
