IS first-time. Complete 9/26, II 10/2. Maybe it was quick cause I turned the supplemental around in a day.
 
How do you know if you are complete here? Do they send a confirmation?

Same here. Complete 8/3, II 8/12. Very fast, I completed the supp as soon as I got it.
 
Received secondary 9/16, also submitted same day, no II. However, I'm OOS, so if I get an II, it might be later...after all, it's only been 1 month.
 
got an email saying I won't be offered an interview :/

IS re-applicant: 36Q (13/13/10 : P/B/V), 3.65/3.65, Strong research pre/post baccalaureate (1 publication in a high impact journal), average clinical experience, good extra curricular.

completed 10/05

Wow, sorry (and surprised) to hear this, JKMD. I remember seeing you around last year's thread, and I was surprised you aren't an M1 there already. You've got a killer app though, so good luck with your other schools! :luck:

Last year, adcom told me that I did not have significant clinical/service experience to show my commitment to service (I had 5-6 semesters of volunteering experience at UNC Hospitals though I had stopped due to class/family illness conflict).

Since graduating college in 2012, I've gotten CNA certification and have been volunteering as a patient intake at a free clinic. Also, continuing to do research at UNC SOM. I have gotten some teaching experience under my belt since graduation as well.

I still haven't received a secondary and I was verified on September 26th. 3.8 36 OOS :\
 
IS first time applicant: Secondary submitted 10/10, II 10/18. Gotta love how the soonest interview slot was a full 6 weeks out. Here's to a decision in March, lol.

34, 3.7/3.9, non-trad, good EC's and clinical experience.

I was verified Aug 15 and received secondary Sept 16th (also OOS)...so you might have a bit more of a wait.
 
Late to the party. Verified 10/15, secondary received 10/16, completed 10/22. 😳

It took almost two months to get a secondary, and another month to get an II. There is a separate committee that evaluates reapplicants up until the II, and they meet less frequently than the regular committee. Hope this helps.
 
Verified August 22... Still haven't heard anything. GPA barely (hundredths) below "successful OOS" MCAT significantly above, plus graduate degree. Kinda figuring silent rejection but maybe it's just a 2+ month wait. (First time applicant)
 
Just got an invitation to complete the residency form. It should now be available on the supp site.

Me too. Almost had a heart attack when I saw an email from UNC Admissions... Assumed they'd rejected me since I hasn't heard from them by phone or mail. Scary

Has anyone heard anything?? Was expecting a little more movement in this thread tonight. Does ad com still meet Mondays anymore?

Nope, nothing. I'm pretty sure they have met. Ms. James told us every other week.

Yeah, pretty surprised it's been two weeks and only 1 person has reported any kind of decision. Maybe this will be the week.

Then again, maybe they're waiting on people to turn in their residency forms first. I don't pretend to know how the process works.

Ms. James has said that the residency forms do not affect the committee's timeline on returning decisions, but they do ask that students return the forms as early as possible.
 
does unc send a pre-secondary rejection letter?
 
I know that UNC has been sending out acceptances. While I dont know anyone who has been called in the last two weeks, a friend of mine was accepted on October 16th. He interviewed on the first day of interviews

I interviewed on the second interview day, but havent heard anything 🙁

Just had a missed call from my interviewer at UNC...she left a voicemail saying that she needed to talk to me about something and she'd call back later haha...I'm assuming it's likely good news, but she didn't give me a number to call her back on! Ahhh going insane!

I deleted it by accident oops. I tried calling back and it went straight to the department she works in. I don't know if she's gonna call me back tomorrow or tonight. Ughhh

Haha already tried...it's the same number that was in my phone (to the department). Guess I'll be waiting this one out. :astronaut:
