yeah mine too! Inorganic 1 and 2 with lab. but I just just just did some research and turns out some med schools use inorganic and gen chem interchangeably. think that's the case here?

Tried calling the office yesterday for an in the area notice. Called several times during the given hours, and no response. No response to my email earlier this month either. Been pretty underwhelmed with NTT interactions with Howard so far... Not convinced they even have anybody working in admissions!
I am not sure what is going on with this school. Its like they just stopped the review process.
Just make sure you are calling during their "calling hours". During interview days, the admissions staff is very involved in making interviewees feel comfortable, are at the right place,etc which means there may not be someone there to answer phones. Hence most of the designated calling times are during non-interviewing periods.
Yeah I called several times during designated calling hours to get a machine every time. I feel like all admissions offices are busy but they are particularly unresponsive
Are you calling during their calling hours eastern time?? Because I remember having this problem too until I realized I wasn't taking the time difference into account

I am not sure what but I think some thing is going on at Howard right now. It seemed to happen last year too where Howard just disappeared right when they were about to review the very end of august completed files just to pick it back up around the 18th.
They haven't disappeared. They are reviewing applicants, but I'm not sure in what order. I was complete late August and received an email late September stating they are waiting for my fall term grades before a decision is made on whether to offer me an interview. It's a long process and we have no choice but to stay patient and pray we get that elusive II.
Yeah it super sucks not being able to tell what is going on. Hey everybody please if you get an interview invite , hold or a rejection please post it on here with the date you were marked complete.
Yo how many shadow hours do you all have?
About 60-70 hours of actual designated shadowing, 1000+ hours of clinical research where I was in close contact with both patients and physicians, although not actually "shadowing"

I have a little over 100, mostly in one specialty but spread across 3 different specialties. I shadowed about 15-20 hours each with 2 different physicuans and the rest was through an internship that I was very lucky to get. Do you ask because you are having trouble finding shadowing or just want to see if you have 'enough'?

I'm URM and complete almost a month ago so either I didn't make the cut and don't know it or they fell behind.
Me too... URM LizzyM 66 and legacy. Complete 9/1 and radio silence from admissions despite several attempted in the area notifications. I wouldn't be too worried... Either we are still on the running or everyone between then end of August and now was absolutely terrible and they are only offering 1 interview from the whole bunch!

I would disregard this last II post. It is a part of that old group that got rapid II last month. There is something going on at this school right now that is keeping them so busy they are not reviewing files at the same speed. Last year it picked up again after the 18th so lets see if that continues this year.
Not really sure tbh, but the LizzyM score of accepted URM applicants are usually lower than that of accepted non-URM applicants, so maybe that's why you heard of ppl adding the extra point.

Has anyone that is not URM received an II? I'm wondering if they're reviewing URM applicants first or something
Quick question, did you get an email saying your application is complete or do you mean the application complete on the application status page?
Hey, I submitted my secondary on 8/30 and got an email on 9/3 stating my secondary was received and that there should be an "SR" code indicating this on my app somewhere. I have yet to find this SR code, but my status page also says I'm complete so I'm just going with that haha.
Damn. I submitted on 8/25 and I never got this e-mail.
