Anyone hear anything regarding an upcoming meeting or anything to discuss the waitlist(A List)? I see the NOLA page is talking all about one that was happening last week that addressed the remaining NFA'd students.

Yeah but there wasn't much to it. I've just been working my behind off really since im out of school. That and being on call at my job most weekends leaves much to be desired.

The adcom is meeting Thursday. I'm not sure if that list will be in discussion or not. It sounds like the A list is going to be larger than usual this year.

There is always a large number of people accepted at Shreveport who end up dropping for another school. For whatever reason, many of those individuals haven't dropped Shreve yet like they usually do. That puts Shreve in the position to need to hold on to a larger number of acceptable students. This coming from Kennedy. However, New Orleans makes decisions on their NFA list this week so there are probably going to be a number of people who drop shreveport this weekends they get acceptances from Nola. It may even things out quickly or it may not have that much of an effect. By April, people have to make their decisions to drop Or confirm so there's going to be a little wait for a few people.

Haha I've seen a lot of people get in over there in the past few years and the phone calls appear to be random. I think it depends what Kennedys schedule is like and how jolly he is feeling at the time.

I interviewed 3 days ago on 2/10/15. Committee met yesterday on 2/12. A girl I interviewed with was called last night around 5 or 6pm by Dr. Kennedy and told she was accepted. Do any of you have any experience with phone calls such as these? Does Kennedy call all that are accepted following a committee (on the days he chooses to call) or is it possible that he only calls a few of the accepted at random?

He definitely does not call everyone. Don't worry.

Well, here in New Orleans, I haven't heard anything. But it is Mardi Gras day, so I'm almost positive that there'll be no mail delivery here today. Hopefully something before the end of the week! I interviewed 2/3. We should be heading back this week, right?

Yes, we will definitely hear back this week. I interviewed on 2/10, so I'm in the same batch of interviews that were reviewed at the meeting on 2/12 as you (2/3). Dr. Kennedy told us at the interview that letters would be dropped in the mail first thing Friday morning (2/13).
Mardi Gras/Presidents' Day most likely the cause for delay 🙁
