So...this Thursday is the next adcom meeting, right? I have a final on Friday, debating whether to check my status page on Thursday night or after my exam (if I have the strength to hold back)... :nailbiting:🙂

So it seems! Though last year the February interviewees did not receive status changes until the following Monday so I'm not sure what that means for us this year. You might be off the hook--although it probably would alleviate a lot of stress for your finals if you were to get some good news!! 🙂 Keeping my fingers crossed for you in any case!

Haha I guess we'll see!! Fingers crossed for you too!! 😀

Portal just changed to "Decision Pending" since being "Evaluation Not Complete" since my interview. Hoping for another status change and good luck for everyone this Thursday.

Mine also changed this morning! Can it be Thursday already?! Good luck to you (and everyone else also biting their nails until then)!

Got placed in Peoria! While I'm really happy with that placement, I am very interested in the global health program which I don't believe is offered there. Does anyone know if it is still worth applying to that program? Is it possible to still get it with my placement? If I was accepted to it would my placement be moved to Chicago? Thanks! Good luck to all!

You would have to be moved if you were accepted. I don't know to your other questions.

Interviewed today...the people were great but I could not shake the feeling off like they pretty much don't care about the people interviewing since it was so late... T_T... also told us not to expect getting Chicago...Nice people but just felt like I was personally brushed off in a sense just because I interviewed so late.
They didn't seem to care when I interviewed either much earlier in the cycle. You might be projecting a little bit.

Is anyone still sitting at "Applicant in Process"? I've been here since September. I thought they rejected pre-II and didn't to silent rejections...

I got my placement yesterday and Chicago was my top choice and I got placed into my second. I think that all Chicago spots might be filled unless they are somehow allocating them out in a way that is not first come, first serve.

I've heard it was first come first serve from the M2 that interviewed me, but other people say that it's not true, and that they have indeed gotten their first choice despite doing it very late. There's just so much inconsistent information out there that I'm not going to even bother thinking about it until I find out if I even got accepted or not.

It's not really that hard to figure out what happens if you think about it. It is first come first serve, except they try to keep the classes balanced. If the first 200 people are all white males and they all want to go to Chicago, the university isn't going to let that happen because it would create an odd situation. There is also the possibility that people will drop out of one campus and new acceptees will be given the opportunity to attend there.

Any one knows if the Committee meets today or not? If any one has a status change, please post. Thanks

Some how I have a feeling it won't be today. I hope my gut feeling is wrong.

Well it's usually the 3rd Thursday of the month, so I don't know where your feeling is coming from. Did they say something at your interview about the meeting?

"A final decision was made on your application on 02-19-15. Please allow two-weeks to receive the correspondence in the mail. If you do not receive this correspondence in two-weeks, please contact the Admissions Office. No decision will be given over the telephone."

Still "applicant in progress" over here. Have they seriously not even looked at my application yet? Or is this just their way of rejecting me? Anybody have any insight?

to SubwayMonster383. My gut feeling is totally wrong then. I hope that ADDITIONAL CORRESPONDENCE! means good news for you, which is very reliable.
can you share your stats?

Actually I have no idea whether "additional correspondence" means acceptance or rejection. I just know I don't have to wait until next month for a decision! I've kept up with posts in this thread and from what I've read I think it's possible to get a rejection even with the add. corr. tab in your portal. My "tab" doesn't have a link or a date. It's all very unclear. I hope it's good news. My stats are average, but I'm nontraditional with an MS and some work experience.

You me and @broken_gymnast are all in the same boat. I called last Thursday and the guy I spoke with seemed apologetic that I hadn't been given any decision yet. He told me I should "hear in the next week or so".

Congrats to everyone else.

+2. I think it is a silent rejection. That or just they will notify of the rejection at the end of March or so because I think they are about done with scheduling interviews.

Similar situation, interviewed Jan, received no decision email post jan meeting, still pending, IS, LizzyM 70, I may be wrong here but I think this is a fast track to waitlist/rejection, may be a good time to shift focus to other schools or plan B.
I'm inclined to agree. Really thought I interviewed well, but I guess not 🙁 Would be nice to be able to pay in state tuition and potentially do EM rotations in Chicago... at least I do have another acceptance, though. :-/

How long after the admissions committee meeting do they usually send out the "no decision" email? I'm still "decision pending" but I want to know if I should keep checking my status tomorrow or just assume I am on hold right now.

Ok so I was finally able to take a screenshot of my portal. Is there any way to tell whether or not I'm accepted?

... I'm feeling very impatient :-/

From what I've gathered earlier on in the thread as well as in previous year's threads, this is typically what it looks like when someone is accepted! I understand that you're probably waiting to exhale until you have the letter in your hands, with good reason, but keep your chin up because it's looking good for you!

For me, the email took a few days to arrive.

Thanks. I hope you're right!

I've been at "application is in process" for a week or so now, and was informed over the phone this afternoon that my application is between having been evaluated by a reviewer and coming before the admission committee (maybe this is the definition of "application is in process?"). They said a decision should be made in the next week whether to offer an II or reject.

I'm IS, complete late September, non-trad, strong GPA (BS chemical engineering), average mcat.

First time poster, long time reader.

Hello everyone!
I don't think I've posted yet this cycle on this forum, which is a bit embarrassing seeing as it's so late in the cycle, but I'm a current M2 at the Chicago campus and am happy to answer whatever questions you might have. I'm not gonna be checking this forum regularly, but feel free to PM me!

Here's the link to my MDApps, if people are still doing that around here: http://www.mdapplicants.com/profile.php?id=25916

thanks for posting you story! Any advice on how to get a site change to Chicago?

I've heard that they'll sometimes give IS status or scholarship $ to OOS, and I'm wondering if any current students can speak to that? OOS, this is the most expensive school in the country, but I'm still really interested in their programs

Accepted a couple of weeks ago and placed in Peoria. I'm currently attending UIC and would love to stay in Chicago but just in case I end up in Peoria, I'd like know more about the area. Can anyone describe their experience at the Peoria campus? Positives and negatives...

Just quick question, I have an interview coming up on 2/26 at Rockford and was wondering if anyone can give me some info on the panel interview. I have had MMI and traditional but not panel. Also, what is the best way to get to Rockford from Chicago? Thanks!

Has anyone gotten an II lately? I called and asked yesterday and they said they weren't done sending out invites.
They're not "done", but let's be real. With a school like uic, you most likely wouldn't hear back :/
