As of May 1, 2016 we have .....
  • Received 1020 AMCAS applications
  • Received 932 Supplementary applications
  • Interviewed 500 applicants (interviews completed for 2016 cycle)
  • Made 118 offers
(Generally it takes 120-135 offers to fill a class.)
Seems like it's over this season. Looks like I'm shooting for D.O. school next round!
Don't give up just yet. If I remember correctly, most people who have been accepted to multiple schools have until May 15 to make their decisions.

Brody will never have more than 80 offers out at a time, and people will still decide to go somewhere else. I would expect somewhere between 5-15 more spots to open up before everything closes out.

Also, for those people who will be reapplying to Brody next year (and for those of you who are searching this thread for information):

Here is the process the Admissions Committee uses (and why it takes so long):

They review all the applications, and they make a Yes, No, or Maybe decision (most go into the Maybe). And then, you go to the bottom of the stack. There are interviews from late Sept/early Oct through January. During interviews, very few offers will be made. This benefits all applicants because they get enough qualified applicants by November to fill the class with excellent candidates.

As interviews continue and conclude, they take those people that are left, and put them into a No, Accept, or High Accept pile. The Accept and High Accept people are put on the wait list after the first 80 offers go out by March 15. The No pile is rejected. No one will ever tell you if you're on the High Accept or Accept pile. As people reject their offers, the list is reassessed.

If you're put on the wait list, it means that you're good enough to be admitted, and Brody wants you. Until you're officially rejected, you're still in the game.

Once orientation starts in August, you will get a message that says, basically, "We want you, but we didn't have space, and now the year has started."

Best of luck to you all. Brody is a FANTASTIC place to train, and prepares you wonderfully for your career in medicine.
