Based on MSAR + their 25/50/25 rule, they accept ~302 outright post-interview. That would leave less than 50 acceptances for the waitlist, which is composed of half of their interviewees. Seems fishy! Plus at least 2.5 those accepted will matriculate elsewhere, so 350 would leave them with a class of 140, at best.
 
For those that have already gone on the interview, what is the best way to get to the campus? I live in the DC area with easy access to the metro, so I was thinking about taking the metro to Foggy Bottom, but Georgetown is still a ways away from there. Any other recommendations?

Not sure if this is helpful at all but I just drove in a parked at the hospital. I think they run a shuttle as well though I'm unsure where. Some of it is listed on the interview guide on the portal.

If you metro to Rosslyn, there's a shuttle (the GUTS bus) that's free and runs pretty regularly between the station and campus!

I agree with @candielike . I also live in the area and actually work at GU. Shuttles run all the time between Dupont and Rossyln, so there's your best bet. they aren't always dependable timing wise, however. Especially in the mornings. So, give yourself some wiggle room. Driving is also possible, but street parking is rough and the garage is expensive ($25/day). Definitely suggest taking the metro to either of these stop and taking the shuttle.

Awesome! I don't have a car on campus, so I will definitely take the metro to one of those stops and shuttle over 🙂

Maybe some current students (if any are lurking around) can provide some insight on this question. Because Georgetown is a Jesuit institution, are there any restrictions in place, whether it be limits to the curriculum, limits to what we can discuss and counsel patients on, etc., about reproductive health/family planning? For example, contraceptives, STIs, etc. I know that some institutions are more strict than others, and I can't seem to find any policies against discussing or learning those things on their website, but I figured I would ask.

So I'm not a student so this is sort of speculative but it was touched upon in the interview admissions speech. The gist of it was "we'll teach you the science to do all of these things, what you decide to do with it is up to you." the big one was about elective abortions which we were told if we chose to do an OB rotation at Georgetown hospital we would not do/observe them. If we chose to do the rotation elsewhere we may. Same with contraceptives since there are other uses for them.

They seem to have moved pretty linearly, with acceptances for complete date X being followed with rejections from date X-1ish week... making me think I might get the blunt end of their rejection stick soon. Complete 8/10. Waiting.

Thank you! Don't lose faith. They honestly might just not have gotten to your application yet. That's my hope for other schools that I really like and haven't heard from yet either.

Don't lose hope! I've been waiting patiently since 7/15 and have yet to hear anything from GT. Anyone else in the mid-July completion date still awaiting a response?

Keep your head up guys, it seems like they are not reviewing the applications in order. Hopefully, you both hear some positive news 🙂

Not too broken up about this one! I really appreciate knowing as opposed to being strung along for the next few months.

Same, I was complete 8/31 and haven't heard anything. Sounds like we will either be in the next rejection or II wave though 🙂

This whole process almost feels like going to a REALLY busy DMV office to renew your license or something. You grab a ticket and wait for your number for what seems like forever. Man, do I hate going to the DMV.
 
been under review for about a good week... keep waiting to be put on hold or rejected, but still standing... how long do people usually stay under review?
 
@gene_pool, for future reference, you can save directly as a PDF using word. No need to save it as a .doc and convert to pdf later.
 
Rejected. Complete 7/16. Thanks for giving me hope for 2 months GT! I guess the bottom line is all that matters is their email and not our neurotic analyses of sdn 🙄. Good luck guys.
