I submitted my secondary in August, never received a complete email. Called and emailed them several times over the last few months and no response. I honestly don't know what that means.

I've been complete since August and received that "completed secondary" email at the beginning of October so right there with you.

Does that mean that they are also behind in interviewing applicants ? (is there still hope lol) or they have sent out almost all the IIs and didn get to reject ppl

Received a complete email in September. In it, they say, "We will send updates in mid-December" (hasn't happened) and "Invitations will be issued between September until mid-March. Most interviews will be completed by the end of April." They may be behind, and it sounds like their interview season is long, so I wouldn't worry too much.
Looking at last cycles thread it seemed to go down to the wire
Im having the same dilemma, let me know if you come up with someone lol!

Those accepted, have you received anything in the mail or sent anything in? I haven't gotten any communication since the acceptance letter and I dont want to forget something and end up with no aid or no admission lol.
I am so glad you mentioned that. I've been waiting anxiously for a while. Also, does anyone have any idea when the facebook page will be created?

If I remember correctly she said at the interview that the Facebook page would be made sometime in March. I interviewed last week, and am patiently awaiting an acceptance (fingers crossed)! For those of you who have interviewed and are awaiting a response January 30th seems to be the magical day that a lot of people have been told they should know by.

Same here. Complete since 9/30/2015. I called last week for an update only to get a voicemail and no call back. I'm pretty disappointed that HUCM does not communicate with its applicants. But hey, they're not the only school like that.

Lol from all the schools I have applied to this cycle, they are the only school that I have not been able to get into contact with via email or phone call and frankly I am pretty frustrated. At this point I am not even waiting for an II. I just want acknowledgement that someone received my application and read it. They could just acknowledge it and then reject me and I am completely fine with that. I just don't want to feel like I submitted my app, spent all that time and money and it did not even get a cursory read.

I just got my official letter today. I'm a little irritated because the initial email told me that I had until May 20th to send in my acceptance in writing but on the hard copy, it says I have until Feb. 15th. What if I would have missed the date? Le sigh...
I got the same email. Have you received anything yet? I haven't gotten the e-mail saying my letter has been signed yet which I thought was going to come before Jan 30 and final decision would come on Jan 30.

So, out of 20 or so schools, I have been accepted at one. My MCAT is the major drawback. First and only mcat (new exam). I got invited to complete a post-bac at a relatively good school. Should I decline my one and only acceptance in hopes of doing better in the mcat this year (2016) and re-applying? Thanks

Congratulations on your acceptance! One acceptance is better than none, as many people who apply are not able to gain acceptances their first time around. The only way I would consider doing such would be if you're absolutely NOT happy with the institution you were accepted at. Waiting an additional year will raise questions from any medical schools you interview in the future. You'll have to spend even more money for MCAT prep, primary apps, secondaries, travels for interviews, etc..Your final decision will be up to you, but please keep these things in mind 🙂

imo if you got accepted to MD then just go to that school, I wouldnt retake the mcat. Going through the med school app process again is way too much time and money if you already have an acceptance

Hey just my 2 cents......well one option you can do is call the post-bacc program and see what your odds are of an acceptance upon completion of the program...without the improved mcat score... "would you get an automatic acceptance if you maintain a 3.5 in the program?"....it is super high-risk to turn down an acceptance, but if you feel strongly about it and your family supports you, then it wouldn't hurt to inquire about it.....besides I need more details....where'd you get accepted to and what post-bacc program is it?

I think I'll consider this problem solved at this point. Even though I don't get another acceptance, I'm grateful that I have gotten into a rather fine school. The additional degree that was a steering point for me may come later on after my MD. Thank you for y'all's comments. BTW: Ohio State post bac was the program.

I would RUN with the MD acceptance. No need to put yourself through the stress of waiting another year.
If you really don't think the school is a good fit for you, I would go ahead and apply to Ohio's MEDPATH as well, you have nothing to lose. Its a great school if you're able to meet the contract requirements (I'm applying there as well)

If you never received a secondary, I got an email from Howard saying that anyone who got verified after November 1st may or may not have gotten a secondary email because the server messed up. About 2000 people may or may not have gotten secondary invites and so the deadline was extended until Jan 30th for those people. They said they sent out another round of secondary emails to those people and if you didn't get it you were suppose to send them an email (that alone is task). Now me, who was one of those people, finally got the money to pay for my secondary and the server is down. If its not up by tomorrow then its gonna cause another mess.....every cycle it seems like something happens (from what I've heard).

I got the same email but I was verified before then. I just hadn't been complete until yesterday, and was wondering if that's the same complete email everyone received.
Email them and tell them the server is down. At least the date of the email will say today's date and screen shot that the server is down and include it in the email, so that when Monday does come, they will see you actually were going to submit on time but it was due to technical issues. (also keep on trying till tomorrow!)

Emailing HUCM is not the best method to contact them. During our interview, admissions said that their access to the email server is limited. The best method is to call during the hours that are specified. To think that I tried to withdraw my application here, now it's one of my top two choices. Great school!

I don't think they care about those hours. They just don't pick their calls or return emails and they certainly don't keep to their timeline. One wonders what this says about their program.Contacting us (Eastern Standard Time):

My advice is to call them during their listed hours and just keep trying. I called them 15X back to back on Thursday and someone finally picked up. This was the first time since I submitted my application back in August that I was able to reach them.

Yeah I knew once they started predicting all of the snowfall for the storm that our notice of the decisions were going to be delayed. I'm just hoping for some news this week. Its been almost 8 weeks since my interview so I'm beyond anxious lol.
