assuming you are a URM or someone with high interest in working w/ the medically underserved, you're definitely competitive! i submitted my secondary here a few weeks ago and havent heard a thing back either so, youre not alone!

Yes I am a URM... And my undergraduate GPA was a 3.1, years ago.
I submitted my secondary on 8/27. I was hoping that my file was complete by now, but apparently I should still be expecting a complete email?

Oh, nevermind, I found the status page...still says "Your application is ready!"

I thought Howard clearly said not to use the "apply.howard" page for any kind of status checks as this is ONLY for internal use? I got the impression that they frown against anyone checking his/her status online. Please correct me if this is wrong.
They don't screen.
When were you complete?
Yeah I understand that email is what everyone is getting, though the tone and wording totally makes me think it's a "No II now, maybe later" email.

Where are the II?
In the same portal through which we submitted the secondary. There's a tab to the far right that says, "STATUS." Click on that and you'll see a list of items with green check marks next to them.
Oh, I don't know. Where did you read/hear this? There's obviously some emails that I have not been receiving from Howard. lol

Anybody got the II after they said that your application has been screened?
At least now, I could stop with the calling-harassment stuff... Submitted 8/23, complete 9/30. Just for everybody's reference 🙂
do you mean immediately afterwards or just in general? someone in this thread said they got their II a few weeks after the screened/complete email.

Got this email today. Does anyone know what the preliminary review/screen includes? Is this the complete email everyone is talking about?

I'm pretty sure this is their version of a "secondary received" email and not much else. I got this back on 8/31 one or two days after I submitted. Unless someone scooped mine pretty quickly, I dunno how much "screening" could have actually occurred.
I received the same email yesterday. Whatever it means, I'm thankful for some movement lol.
This is Howard's homecoming week so maybe the employees are also partaking in the homecoming festivities and not answering the phone lol. Im in the DC area so Ill try and visit next week cause I submitted like the first week and havent gotten a complete email or any response.
EDIT: Also, during their open house they mentioned being short staffed this cycle so that might be it.

Hey guys my primary application was verified in August but I still have not received a secondary. I keep trying to call them but have had no luck reaching anyone. I also sent them an email and did not get a response. My stats are competitive so I do not get why I would not get a secondary yet. Based on their voice mail, apparently everyone who has been verified gets a secondary. Advice?
Check all of your spam mailboxes, mine was sitting in my spam folder for 2 weeks before I saw it :/

Finally got my complete email! Submitted 9/1 -_-. It really shouldnt take a month and a day to complete

I think the first day is October 14th.

Yep. Honestly, I think that it's their standard email and just worded kinda weird.
Someone answered! The man stated all my documents were received (I only got Complete on Friday) and the length of time to hear back for an interview "differs by applicant."
