Is this a George Washington type hold in which for all intensive purposes I'm silently rejected? Or should I keep the faith?

I also got that email and an II 3 days later!

yes!! haha I keep refreshing my portal. Last year people were saying they got an "application under review" email a couple weeks after their interview then a decision shortly after....no email of that sort yet though. I interviewed 10/9 and they also said early November.....ergh!

AHHHH just kidding my portal says file under review now!!!!! Last year people reported decisions 1-2 weeks after that happening. 😕

Wow, interviewed in August and still have no such change in my portal 😱

No it's a red exclamation point! The interview, etc have a green check mark but not the under review notice.

Haha, I'm not worried about the green check mark so much as not having the “File Under Review” line at all. Or a check mark next to “Interview”! If I recall correctly the red exclamation just means they are still reviewing your application. Check mark would mean a decision has been made.
 
Awesome! Well I guess that means they are sending out their first round of acceptances! :claps:
 
Holy cow guys! That is so awesome! I went from calm and collected to stressed out of my mind. Haha. Any one that has interviewed gotten the "hold" email? Also, for those of you that are accepted, what does your portal look like? Congrats everyone!

I was just wondering that! If some acceptances went out today I was expecting to get the "still in consideration until later" email.....nothing but silence though 🙁

Same here. It's driving me insane. And I only found out about the acceptances like ten minutes ago. Haha. Hope to hear something soon.

You are not alone! I have been losing my mind refreshing things since about 11 am haha. When did you interview?? I was 10/9...I was thinking maybe it's too early for us?

I interviewed 9/12. So I was hoping to hear some good news from here. But maybe it will just come later (hopefully). Haha. Also, just to ease my neurotic mind, if those accepted, and feel okay about it, wouldn't mind posting the the first letter of their last name. I just want to see if there is an alphabetical trend. Haha.

It seems like everybody who was accepted, interviewed in august. We are probably in the next round or maybe early December.

Yeah every two weeks. Last year they sent out acceptances 10/28 and 11/7 so they're right on track I guess haha. Keep our fingers crossed for good news soon!!!
 
It seems like the October people heard back the first week of December based on last years thread. It would have been nice to hear back quickly but oh well.

All I know is that huskygirl interviewed after me. So while I'm super stoked for her. It has made me extremely nervous. Haha.

Did people get the "hold" email on the 28th last year? Or not until the 7th?
 
Did those who were accepted see the check mark next to File Under Reciew go from red to green?

In regards to this, under review has a green check mark. In addition, there is a new line beneath it with "accepted" with a green check mark next to it.

Also, there is a new tab titled "Offer"

Same here. If I'm gonna get the hold email I would rather it just come now. That way I can go back to just waiting patiently. But not hearing anything is killing me! It is so distracting. Haha.

I don't think thy got the "hold" email until the 7th. Agreed about hearing nothing though...it is torture haha

NVM. Just went back and looked, people did get the "hold email" on 10/28. ERGH!!!
 
I bet we hear something soon 🙂 Last year late september people head back on 11/7, but remember this year the interview dates were very different (It was like 9/27 THEN 10/18 last year). More dates/less people per day or something like that for this year.

sameeee. and this morning I convinced myself I would hear something today haha. NOT SMART.
 
A staff member of the admissions office said that for those who interviewed in early October (I interviewed 10/3), acceptances would be sent out starting early November. So it seems like it takes them 4-6 weeks post-interview to send an update. I'd say that's pretty timely actually.
